If you don’t agree don’t shop there, use the companies that offer the drop & you can then frequent end of Jan if there’s any left ..

@FinnegansChippy @david_navigator @GaryUsher_Chef You clearly did not read my post. I said work out your costs add margin then VAT. If your costs have gone up the price should go up. That is simple business. I don’t agree with ‘massaging’ the figures to keep the extra without doing the calcs. If the price needs to go up do it!

If you don’t agree the answer is simple you don’t spend your money there. The VAT drop allows sml struggling businesses to keep the price the same instead of increasing them now

@philpmj Come on Phil!! It’s a sensor problem because of the queues at peak times and doors opening and closing at the wrong times so we’ve stopped the automation. After investing a fortune on the shopfront and shop it’s not about a £100 bill to reconnect.. 🙄

@FinnegansChippy Get the automatic doors fixed in Swansea. Losing huge amounts of heat through doors stuck open. Manager too tight to fix them, allegedly..!

It’s demoralising & heart wrenching reading comments

If your meal sit down or takeaway is £10 vat inc in that price is £1.67 so the business seeing profits on £8.33 If it’s at the reduced rate of 5% the business has VAT of 48p therefore seeing profits on £9.52 therefore benefitting an extra £1.21 profit. Come on! Big deal
