These "murmurings of disquiet inside Labour Party" stories do make me wonder who's whispering into the ears of our parliamentary/ political reporters. The bigger Q is why they give these sources any credence, as the stories usually disappear without even a puff of smoke 🤔

It strikes me that UK parliamentary politics correspondents are trying to justify their existence after the Tory psychodramas with manufactured hyperbole. The US media learned to cope four years ago, I hope ours do too. 🙃

Why is a BBC Politics reporter pursuing what is a BBC local news story? By all means keep MPs honest, but is the deselected ex-MP and his Corbynist faction at S Ilford CLP behind the Jas as landlord story? Reminiscent of their phoney complaint re Jas just before 2017/19 GE.

@PhillipsPOBrien Read it this morning. T's rhetoric = dog-whistling. The journalists weren't his audience but vehicles for his msg: he deliberately 'reminds' his racist supporters that Kamala's 'not one of them' and that 'asylum'-seekers are all crazy. Right though, it alienates independents.

Hi All, Just wrote a piece on the most extraordinary 3 weeks in US politics in decades (maybe since 1968). From the shooting of Trump which led many to believe he would win the election easily, to the ongoing train wreck we see today. Its worthy of note how this happened.

Danny is spot on here. @ShabanaMahmood understands antisemitism and has taken action against it. She's shown enormous strength and resilience in the face of serious and personal attacks since 7 Oct simply because she is a senior Muslim Labour woman. She deserves better than this.

Ive seen a lot of this. @ShabanaMahmood has taken direct action against antisemitism. I've seen it up close and in person. She has been kind, thoughtful, and supportive in all of my dealings with her, including on serious issues of conspiratorial antisemitism. She has been relentlessly abused and deserves some kindness. I'm not making a political point, rather I want to ensure the record is straight.
