I am really enjoying Secrets of the London Underground. Have been binging my way tough it all over the last few weeks. It’s so interesting the hidden world under Londons streets. Well done @MrTimDunn & Siddy 😊

Fun fact: beneath Heathrow Airport, the Piccadilly line has several secret station-like platforms - for vent & emergency use - so short, access is only by driver’s door. So you can imagine the look on passengers’ faces when their train stopped unexpectedly for 8 of us with filming equipment to skip merrily into the train from the cab. Of course this is London - so nobody said anything more about it. Our Heathrow adventure is on #SecretsOfTheLondonUnderground on @YesterdayTweets Tuesday at 8pm, and @UKTVPlay to stream for free (obvs)

@FionaLoftus81 Dunno - probably because they knew no better! Sounds like the CEO was a very persuasive salesman too. Just utterly tragic :-( Was also interested to see Stockton Rush’s name next to Thomas Andrew’s name in the wiki entry for people killed by their own inventions.

My father died last November and now my mother has just died. Strange they died so close to each other. Just like my elderly neighbours, who died within a couple of months of each other a short while ago
