It may be helpful, and good luck to those starting their journey, as well as to those invested in or working within the space industry. *Doctors performing life-saving surgery are important. *Making sure children don't go hungry is important. *Cops and paramedics racing to a scene to save lives is important. *Farmers are important.

Inhabiting Mars means that when you lift off towards the distant sphere, you likely aren't coming back. But even if they reduce the round-trip time to 9 months, is it worth that much lost time sitting in a capsule? And what do you do once you are on Mars? No matter how big the living domes are, your options for long strolls are severely limited. The logistics of replenishing food supplies are rarely discussed. No one wants to eat rehydrated meals forever. Elon Musk is a hero, supersmart, unselfish, and forward-thinking. Our home is powered by Tesla solar and batteries. Further thoughts on life on #Mars. Imagine a giant cruise ship permanently anchored in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Passengers can leave the ship, but the tether craft takes four to six months to get to the nearest port. Fishing for food is not allowed, and going on deck requires the use of a self-contained breathing apparatus. Only an eccentric personality would consider this lifestyle. No one would call it a vacation. It's not marketable and definitely unscalable as a business model.

i lived in it all too. i have my reasons for calling it all bay area. mostly bc ppl asked where i’m from (i moved to fl) and it’s too many words to say santa cruz and santa cruz mtns (ben lomond) and los gatos and san jose for 9 years and then 4 years in petaluma sebastopol santa rosa. so instead i say “bay area ca!” so much easier
