You may be cool with it, evidently the other 2 aren't. In a few months when the player base is almost null, at least YOU got your skin.

Over the weekend, a player posted a video of them taking advantage of a map issue and going out of bounds to gain access into the Compiler room to ambush a team after they finished completing the encounter.
First off, we will have this issue fixed before Cryo Archive becomes available again.
In the past, we have not taken action against players going out of bounds, but due to this case heavily affecting other players negatively, we'll be reviewing our policies and sharing more details soon. While we don't want to punish players for bugs that they run into by accident, we will communicate more clearly the line that players should not cross when it comes to using these sorts of bugs that could be griefing others.
We will be reaching out to the affected players to grant them compensation for having their successful run interrupted by this issue.

@KryDotExe @NAPainter_ Idk man, it’s just not the same yk? This was a fill that we stayed q’d for 5 attempts and we finally got it and was crazy to finally have killed the compiler. Now just getting “carried” through it is just not fun. All the grind just felt pointless after that 🤷🏼♂️ (rip recon skin)

Yeah no, on closer inspection, this should be bannable. Sorry Painter but there is a difference between showcasing an exploit, and abusing said exploit and laughing about it.
In a game like Marathon, where if you die you lose your gear, abusing an exploit, laughing about it, and ruining another team's run should be grounds for a ban.
You've made it out of the run with gear that you should not have gotten, and you've ruined the experience for a team that had zero idea what was happening.
That team should have their gear reinstated, at the very least.
You could have downed them and then rezzed them, and it would've been fine, mostly. But you chose to full-kill them and laugh about it.

Unfortunate this OOB (Out of Bounds) Bug needs to be fixed.
But bro… hiding in Compiler extraction room and killing a team mid celebration… for the clip is extremely low.
I understand you’re saying your opinion was to show an exploit but you knew how evil it was before you did it.
Now you’re walking it back once the backlash hits. Understandable, because you probably thought the guys were sweats and they could “do it again” or something. But for casual and mid tier players this is what makes people uninstall..
It’s both an exploit showcase and toxic behavior. It needs to be fixed from the Dev standpoint and the mindset standpoint.
Even if you would’ve died showcasing it because you didn’t want to be toxic while doing this, you would’ve been praised to high heavens. Glad you learned a lesson and you’re helping the guys out that you hurt here.
Question for yall: now since the community is now calling for a ban or suspension…
Is this just an exploit showcase that was bound to happen… or is it a straight grief that kills player counts?

As someone who enjoys the occasional exploit in Destiny 2 and finding funny spots and doing a little troll here and there in PvP (im kind of known as that guy) games in general you gotta know where the line is.
Going OOB, killing a team after they've killed compiler (I still havent even done compiler yet), BMing in the game chat going, "HEY BUUUUDDDIIIIES HOW ARE YOOOOU? and then posting it on twitter going teehehee look guys im so evil teehee, is kinda going over the line. Especially in an Extraction shooter where death means you just lost hours/days/weeks worth of loot. Your first compiler kill is supposed to be this big yea we finally did it pop off moment and oh shit look at all this loot its all ours this is so rad.
So ye this is kinda fucked up.
Also a little weird and cringy...
I'd ban em for the rest of the season, because that about how long I'd put the game down if this happened to me lol.
