I like these #iubb fans AND MEDIA AND PODCASTERS that say…”I still think DeVries is the right guy.” They have nothing to base their feeling on. It’s all hope. A wish. And you know what they say about that…”Hope in one hand and shit in the other.”

@SAM_222190 Absolutely right, Samlam! The epitome of incompetence. And some ass clowns here have the nerve to blame Fans for this shit show! You believe that? Booing…Impatient…etc…etc…Heard it all. These fools stop at nothing to shift the blame away from the ROOT CAUSE of IU’s problem.

@suer_rat19924 Damn right. Remember, #iubb has never fired ONE Coach TOO SOON (besides Sampson, and the NCAA fired him). If you don’t believe me, look at the putrid record each of them had after IU. Especially Crean, who was a DISASTER at Georgia and his Coaching Career quickly concluded.

I am old enough to remember when IU fans wanted to fire Mike Davis, Kelvin Sampson, Tom Crean, Archie Miller, Mike Woodson, and Darian DeVries. #iubb #genx

@CFBMaxChadwick Max - You need to go back and watch the Championship Game vs. Miami. Carter had a very, very tough time staying in front of The U Edge Rushers. And that’s the type he will be facing at the next level. I don’t wanna say he got exposed, but he kinda did. Lots for him to work on!

@BobMoats IU couldn’t get away with this in the Private Sector. Heads would roll. Much closer scrutiny of spend. Willy-Nilly spending at IU resulting from awful Coaching hires necessitating firings. Woodson the latest. Plus, big money paid to WVa for DeVries’ exit buyout. #iubb

Two things can be simultaneously true... 1) IU Men's Basketball expenditures were inflated by one time circumstantial spending which impacted ROI. 2) The program needs a much better ROI.

@FOS @MattBrownEP Looks like Indiana University is a very poor custodian over their Basketball Expenses, huh? Spending money Willy-Nilly? No surprise. Gone on for years. Maybe David Carr can help with the Financial Side too??? #iubb

@KirkwoodandDunn Yeah. That’s right. Why don’t we bring in five or six more people to “help guide Darian DeVries”? Is there any F’in wonder 14 of the last 18 Big Ten seasons have ended with a below .500 record? A total shit show down there for multiple decades! #iubb

1976 was a half century ago. 2002 will be a quarter century behind us next year. Stop living in the past, start focusing on the demands of the present & chart a path towards a future we can be proud of once again. Lead, follow, or get the fuck out of the way. #iubb

The standard is the standard & it's fallen waaay too far. That has to change now. It begins by ensuring EVERYONE is accountable for doing their damn jobs. There's far to much pride, far too many resources, and far too many means for it to be what it's become. FIGURE IT OUT. #iubb

@ProudUSA76 Actually, a bigger concern is that DeVries has a little success and they eeek into the Tourney next year. That’s a nightmare scenario ensuring a really crappy coach at IU for several more years. #iubb

@FutbolFeller @ZachOsterman @indystar Who was in on the postseason discussion? Players, coaches, Scott Dolson? Change may be in the air or they are all in on recruiting a new team with the new GM. Another roster failure and poor in game coaching like this year and DeVries is gone. #iubb

@HammelTime23 Refusing to play in the NIT/Crown has nothing to do with accepting that they now suck. The players out of eligibility all want to move on. Those with eligibility are discussing their future (portal, NIL money, etc,) with agents. IU is frantically studying portal possibilities.

@Josielou37 I predict a FB fall off in 2027 (season after next). 7-5 or 6-6. Fans will be headed out at Halftime like always. Cig will get pissed. IU Leadership will never be able to hold FB together in a sustained manner. You heard it here first.

@Josielou37 Any concerns about possible basketball spillover affect onto the Football Program? Angry fans, toxic environment, etc., etc. We already know Cig has an out clause if Dolson or Whitten leave!

QUESTION: If #iubb makes the field next yr., will Chair Buckner and the IU Leadership Team swing into action? Extend his contract? Give him a $1 Million raise (like they did Woody)? Have a presser to tell everyone we’re still a blue blood? Raise a new banner w/o dust & moss?

See Purdue! Sit in it, #iubb Leadership! The source of this BB program’s stench comes direct from Buckner (Chair-BoT) as he mettled in the program for years (first Alford then Woodson). No pushback from the Pres/AD or other Board members! Now you’re f’ed…it’s gone on too long!

@HoosierBeerGuy This is a great idea. 1 year contracts only until proven. The quality of the coach won’t be any worse than the last three multi-year coaches (Miller, Woodson, DeVries).
