Great couple of weeks. Hazmat initial, supervisory & Gas Tight Suit courses delivered. Also attended the ‘Hotzone’ conference along with Fire, Police, Ambulance, Military and National Resilience colleagues. So pleased with ‘the Lab’ we created to enhance delegates learning.

Approved to ride, approved to wear BA, OTG planning, Incident command verifications, procurement/evaluations for new equipment, BANOG, retirement celebrations, core subject development & national resilience training framework. Just some of what’s kept me busy the last few weeks.

Today 5 delegates in attendance @FireHolbrook to complete their GTS wearer course. Positive learning environment. A superb day delivered by @FargherCarl. Collaborative training with Stn.04 also in attendance facilitating/setting up the MD4. Thanks to Holbrook for hosting. 👏👏

Today marks two years since we lost our friend and colleague Rudie Mann. ♥️ This morning, colleagues across @SuffolkFire held a minute silence to mark the occasion. RIP Rudie, always in our thoughts. 🚒

Tomorrow at 1100 @SuffolkFire will fall silent as a mark of respect for @fire_scot Firefighter Barry Martin, who sadly lost his life whilst fighting a fire at a department store in Edinburgh. Our thoughts are with Barry’s family, friends and colleagues. RIP FF Martin.
