Firefighters from @DerbyshireFRS @GlossopFireStn, @WYFRS , and @SYFR responded to a wildfire near Woodhead Reservoir at around 10 PM. Crews used beaters and tools to fight the blaze across difficult terrain. The fire was contained and fully out by 12:15 AM.

@SMAdyTaylor How does this affect the response model to wildfires? Will they still be travelling with one beavertail and support pump or is there now enough vehicles for the Hagglund and Polaris to both be taken at the same time?

Fire crews are currently responding to a high rise fire on Whitworth Street West, Manchester. Serveral appliances are currently in attendance as well as a senior officer.

Today was a sad day for friends, family and colleagues of WM Dan Lee who today was laid to rest. Rest in peace Dan you will be missed by many ❤️

⚠️ UPDATE ⚠️ ✅ This road has now reopened but is using temporary lights at the junction.

Firefighters are currently supporting @CadentGasLtd Manchester’s gas emergency service whist they respond to a large main burst on Oldham Road, Ashton. Oldham Road is closed between Cranbrook St and Wellington Rd whilst crews deal with this incident @manchesterfire

Two fire engines from #Salford are currently in attendance at a large spill of Soap on Broad Street, Salford. The slipway from Broad Street to Albion Way is currently closed whilst crews deal with this incident.

At around 12:30 AM, 5 fire crews from Moss Side, Manchester Central, Salford and Broughton were called to a fire involving a bin that had spread to a bin chute.

@manchesterfire Four fire engines and a hydraulic platform are still in attendance at this incident, fire fighters continue to fight the fire with the help of on site machinery. Crews are expected to be in attendance throughout the day.

Firefighters are currently dealing with a fire at a recycling centre on North End Road, Stalybridge. A large amount of smoke if coming from the fire and we are advising people in the area to be cautious and keep windows and doors closed.
