I paid a courtesy visit to the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, to strengthen collaboration between Akwa Ibom State and the Nigeria Police.
I congratulated him on his appointment and commended the Police for their efforts in maintaining law and order across the country.
We reaffirmed our commitment to working closely with security agencies to enhance safety, sustain peace, and support development in Akwa Ibom State.

I secured approval for a bonded terminal in Akwa Ibom State following a visit to the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, at the Nigeria Customs Headquarters in Abuja. This development will streamline trade, reduce the cost of doing business, and position our State as a regional aviation and logistics hub, especially as we prepare for international operations at the Victor Attah International Airport. I am not sure how to drum this into the ears of my young and vibrant Akwa Ibom people. Quit flashy lifestyle, use that money instead to invest in the Nigerian stock market. You will smile in your late 40’s going forward. I wish I live in Nigeria, their stock market is fabulous.
