@franknteddy Same. Before getting into this fandom, I’ve never really thought much about the aroace experience, and now I’m learning so much related to it that it is changing my perspective of how we view sexuality and romance.

@F_Kanink yes!!!! like it's my most precious hc cause i almost never get to see the dynamic explored in relationships like this and the fandom is doing it so lovingly, so it feels WEIRD when ppl use that hc like it default means a character can't have any relationships 😭

i love aroace grace SO MUCH and how most of the fandom treats him with so much love, but it does not escape my notice that some people use that hc against ships they don't like, only to proceed to ship him with other characters anyway

@franknteddy It’s fascinating because I’ve never seen so many fics in one fandom that explore aroace characters in that way.

@franknteddy And I also believe it is a limited view of the aroace spectrum. I’ve read some Strattland fics in which Grace or Eva are inside the spectrum, and the writers experiment with that dynamic.
