Brought real LOR lunar crater data + using my astrophotography data for lighting straight into UEFN! 🌕 Obsessed with how quick this transformed from a concept to real with some basic textures and changing the lighting! Astronaut POV hitting different. Textures/lighting feedback? Rate the realism 1-10 👇… I want it to be an 8-10 when I’m done if possible. Might release a small test in the coming days to find any gaps in the terrain so keep a lookout for that. Haha, probably a stretch, but I’m trying to create an explorable part of the lunar terrain in UEFN using data from the LRO and one of my recent Astro images. Never done it, but thought I’d try and bring a learning experience to Fortnite Creative and hopefully it performs somewhat well… if so I’d like to re create the Apollo landing sites and have the players essentially be the astronauts performing the experiments/mission

Can I get more cool human exploration spacecraft and less space war slop on my feed please

Just some updated pics of the landscape so far! Done with the base textures and need to add small rocks as foliage next. I am having some issues with how the collision lays in correlation to the physical mesh… like some parts you’re walking into the land and other parts you’re hovering. @SoA_President19 @BackersGamesF Yep. One frozen dystopian environment, while the other is a built-up, more futuristic type thing. However, someone said they could combine OG and Chapter 7 in one map, which would align with the leaks saying there’s a volcano in the next season’s map.

Here’s a shot video showing the pre-game lobby for my first Fortnite UEFN game! Hologram in the center table will display the moon and pinged location of the area you get to explore of the lunar surface. The sides will have the interactive displays for challenges, login rewards, details, etc., and the back will have the recommended maps area.
