Apparently we've got the clearest image of the Z-21, China's new heavy attack helicopter so far. However, besides some details that are now finally clearly recognisable, such as sensors, cockpit, rotor, & the engine nacelles including exhausts, some details also appear strange...

@Kama_Kamilia IF this video is legit, it would make sense for the IRGC to cut it right after the impact so as not to show the aircraft surviving and returning to base. I mean, it kind of adds to its authenticity rather than detracting from it.

@FirstDagger @JarodMHamilton B-1’s payload is 75,000 lbs WITHOUT anything external. B-52’s (yes, that includes the proposed J variant) is 70,000lbs max…the Bone carries the largest payload of any U.S. bomber.

@FirstDagger @JarodMHamilton Fine, build 100 B-21s then and replace the B-2 and retire the B-52. Pull 20 B-1s out of Davis-Monthan, refurbish them and let them do their role of low altitude, surgical strikes.
That’d give 165 bombers covering two very different roles and in good numbers to be effective.

B-1B is barely supersonic.
B-2A is too expensive.
B-21A is for mass stealth.

@JarodMHamilton I’m a big proponent of stealth, but there is no way a medium-sized, slow moving aircraft like the B-21 can fly the mission of the B-1 or even the B-52.
Seems to me the Air Force would have learned from the mistake of trying a jack of all trades aircraft with the F-35.
