The Fishers City Council has approved updated regulations for e-bikes, scooters, e-motos, trails, sidewalks, bike lanes, and roadways throughout the city. During this process, we heard feedback from residents, riders, and trail users and changes were made to the ordinance as a result. Updated provisions include: -Class 3 E-Bikes are now permitted anywhere bicycles are allowed -E-motos are restricted to roadways only and are not permitted on trails, sidewalks, or bike lanes -All E-Bike, E-Scooter, and E-Moto riders under 18 must wear a helmet. These updates are intended to improve safety, clarify where devices can operate, and help protect pedestrians and all users of Fishers trails and roadways. Before you ride, make sure you know the rules! Read the new ordinance here: police.fishersin.gov/wp-content/upl…

This week, during National Police Week, our Fishers Police Corps truly spoiled us. 💙 From hosting a cookout for all of our squads, writing personal thank-you cards to each officer, stocking us up with snacks and goodies, and organizing a meaningful candlelight vigil, every gesture reminded us how supported and appreciated we are. We are incredibly grateful to have this “Blue Army” standing behind us and a community like Fishers to call home. Thank you for your unwavering support, encouragement, and kindness this week and every week. #NationalPoliceWeek #FishersPolice #FPC

Yesterday, Fishers Police Department Intelligence Analyst Sydney Carillo was recognized by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Indiana with the Outstanding Collaborative Investigation Award. Carillo was recognized alongside several federal, state, and local law enforcement partners for her role in a large-scale investigation targeting a drug trafficking organization responsible for distributing fentanyl and methamphetamine throughout Central Indiana. Through intelligence gathering, interagency coordination, and collaborative investigative efforts, the case resulted in the seizure of dangerous narcotics, firearms, and other criminal assets, helping disrupt the flow of deadly drugs into Indiana communities. The investigation highlights the critical role intelligence analysts play in supporting complex investigations and strengthening partnerships between local, state, and federal agencies to improve public safety. We are proud of Analyst Carillo and grateful for the continued collaboration that helps keep Fishers and communities across Central Indiana safe. You can read more about the case here: justice.gov/usao-sdin/pr/1…

Today we mourn the loss of retired K9 Barry. For 8.5 years, Barry faithfully served our community alongside his handler, Officer Ralph. He was a loyal partner, protector, and friend who dedicated his life to serving others. In his 8.5 years K9 Barry had 21 criminal apprehensions, 460 drug searches, and 82 patrol deployments, including one track that led back to where a shooting suspect had ran back to a house. After retirement, Barry enjoyed his well-earned “couch dog” life with Officer Ralph and his family. Please keep Officer Ralph and his family in your prayers during this difficult time. Rest easy, Barry. Thank you for your faithful service and sacrifice. 🇺🇸🐕

Thank you to everyone who joined us tonight for the Fishers Candlelight Vigil honoring officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Tonight’s vigil coincided with the National Candlelight Vigil in Washington, D.C., during National Police Week. Two Fishers police officers were also part of the national ceremony, leading the First Salute and Honors to Dignitaries at the vigil in our nation’s capital. Together, we remember and honor the bravery, sacrifice, and service of fallen officers and their families. #NationalPoliceWeek #HonorTheFallen #FishersIN #NeverForget

Fishers Police Department Seizes More than 200 Pounds of Marijuana and THC Products Following Narcotics Investigation In March 2026, a detective with the Fishers Police Department assigned to the Hamilton/Boone County Drug Task Force initiated a narcotics investigation after observing a Snapchat profile advertising the sale of marijuana and THC products. During the investigation, the detective identified suspects Ian Heath and Brenden Grubb, along with a vehicle believed to be involved in the distribution of narcotics. The detective shared that information with the Fishers Police Department’s Crime Reduction Unit (CRU). Shortly thereafter, CRU detectives located the suspect vehicle traveling on I-69. Detectives observed the vehicle commit multiple traffic infractions and conducted a traffic stop. During the stop, a Fishers Police Department K9 officer conducted an open-air sniff of the vehicle, and the K9 positively alerted to the presence of narcotics. Heath and Grubb were detained without incident while detectives conducted a search of the vehicle. During the search, detectives located approximately 211 pounds of marijuana, 5 pounds of pre-rolled marijuana products, 3,696 THC cartridges, and a firearm. Both Heath and Grubb were preliminarily charged with Dealing in Marijuana: with amount of at least 10 pounds. All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law. Please direct further questions to the Hamilton County Prosecutor's Office.

Fishers Police Arrest Man Accused of Scamming Resident Out of More Than $200,000 Fishers Police Detectives arrested 21-year-old Anmolpreet Singh of Levittown, New York on May 4, 2026, on two felony charges: Conspiracy to Commit Theft and Conspiracy to Commit Fraud. On April 30, a Fishers resident contacted police after believing they had become the victim of an elaborate fraud scheme. The victim told investigators the suspects claimed to be affiliated with federal agencies and convinced them to complete multiple financial transactions, including cryptocurrency deposits and wire transfers totaling more than $200,000. As part of the scheme, the suspects allegedly sent the victim a fraudulent arrest warrant and instructed them to make an in-person cash transaction of $50,000. Believing the victim would continue to be targeted, Fishers Police Detectives, in conjunction with our federal partners, coordinated an operation to intercept the suspects during the planned pickup. On Monday, May 4, the suspects contacted the victim and stated they would arrive in Fishers around 4:30 p.m. Detectives utilized Flock camera technology to identify the suspect vehicle as it entered the area. Once the vehicle arrived in the neighborhood, Fishers Police officers used drones to monitor the suspect’s movements throughout the area. Investigators observed the suspect driving in a manner consistent with counter-surveillance tactics and attempted to arrange a hand-to-hand exchange with the victim, a commonly used tactic to avoid law enforcement detection. Detectives developed probable cause to believe he had knowledge of and was participating in the fraud scheme. A traffic stop was conducted, and Singh was taken into custody without incident. During the investigation, detectives determined Singh was involved in communication with the victim. “This case highlights the lengths scammers will go to manipulate and financially exploit victims,” said Chief Gebhart, “We want our community to know that Fishers Police will use every tool available to identify, investigate, and pursue criminals who target our residents.” Fishers Police encourage residents to remain cautious of unsolicited calls, emails, or messages claiming to be from government agencies or law enforcement, especially when demands for money, cryptocurrency, wire transfers, or secrecy are involved. Scams like this can happen to anyone. To learn more about common scams, how to recognize warning signs, and ways to protect yourself, visit facebook.com/reel/168295641…
