אי שם, לפני 30+ שנים, הייתי שותף זוטר בצוות ההקמה של "חדשות ערוץ 2". היו ויש שם עיתונאים.ות מעולים.ות. אבל, זו בושה גדולה לראות מה קרה לחברת החדשות. העיתונאים.ות ששם - הפסיקו לשתוק. השתיקה מול מה שעמיתכם עושה שם מבזה אתכםן, את הערוץ, ואת המקצוע

סקר מכון פיו: טוויטר היא הרשת החברתית הפוליטית ביותר בעיני המשתמשים. 59% אמרו שאחת הסיבות לכך שהם גולשים בטוויטר היא התעדכנות ודיון פוליטיים, לעומת 36% בטיקטוק ו-26% בפייסבוק ואינסטגרם. לצד עדכון ודיון פוליטיים הסקר מנה את הסיבות הבאות לשימוש ברשת חברתית (ניתן היה לבחור יותר מתשובה אחת): התעדכנות בחדשות, קשר משפחתי או חברי, התעדכנות בנושאי ספורט ותרבות פופולרית, המלצות וביקורות צרכנות, קשר עם בעלי עניין משותף ו"כי זה כיף" (Because it's entertaining). התעדכנות ודיון פוליטיים תפסו את המקום האחרון בקרב משתמשי כל הרשתות חוץ מטוויטר. מה הסיבה הראשונה בקרב רוב המשתמשים בכל רשת? טיקטוק: "כי זה כיף" (95%). אינסטגרם: "כי זה כיף" (86%), "קשר עם משפחה וחברים" בקרב צמוד (83%). טוויטר: "כי זה כיף" (81%). פייסבוק: "קשר עם משפחה וחברים" (93%).
