The question everyone must answer is this:
Do you believe in God?
Or,
Do you believe God?
The difference is but one word, and yet, it has an eternal impact. To believe God presumes, as a basis, that you believe in Him. To believe in God, has very little to do with whether or not you actually believe Him.
In other words:
Do you believe God when He reveals that He is just?
Do you believe Him when He says that wrath will be the portion of those who deny His Son?
Do you believe that the Almighty will not relent in crushing you under the sole of Diving Justice when you die, as He makes it known?
Do you you believe Him - that He sent Jesus, the only Son, to be treated as sinful in your stead, where no sin was to be found in Him? This all, that you may be free from the coming judgement as a fringe to being reconciled to your Glorious Creator.
Do you BELIEVE GOD?
If not, NOW is the time to flee to Christ! See him on the cross, crushed for your iniquity. Broken, beaten, bruised - willing and able - as a substitute for your vile nature.
Trust Him - believe Him who is faithful by nature and CANNOT fail you.
This is the essence of faith. This is the heart changing, love inducing and persevering truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
