@TheHealerDM I am literally relying on privilege to secure my future. My folks have a workshop with a 2 bedroom apartment built above it. I'm buying the apartment from them for $40,000. At 65,000 a year in Seattle Metro, this is literally my only way to escape the rent trap.

@HeavensPress So, technically speaking biscuits and gravy isn't european. at all. I was definitely cheekily using European to mean 'white people food'. dense bread, creamy dairy mouthfeel sace, ample meat. That's the core of the cuisine.

@katerina_ladon Unfortunately, these witch hunts are what happens when a company like WOTC has so thoroughly abused public trust. Everything they put out is going to be put under the microscope because they refuse to just stop being evil. Refusing WOTC contracts will help avoid the witch hunts

@BDaveWalters let's flip the script: Your life will be a lot easier if you clearly communicate with people, instead of trying to avoid the awkwardness of declining social opportunities. If you aren't going to say anything other than enthusiastic yes, just say no.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but treat anything other than an enthusiastic YES as a *no*. Maybe == no I'll let you know == no I'll think about it == no I'm not ready == no We'll see == no Your life will be a lot simpler with much less disappointment or potential drama

@LogantheGM @DragonCobolt Growing up, all of my closest friends' parents treated all of us like their own kids. There were about six of us in the group, and we were all equally welcome in each other's homes any time of day, no matter what was going on.
