The name's going to change every 8 years until I die. I just know it. It's going to pin-ball like other policies. Some CNN host is going to be asking in a Presidential Debate "On your first day in office, what will you be doing about the name of the football team in DC?"

@gwen_kakes @HoehnSaricCPSC Way to use "cupcake" to cope with knowing less than a 17 year old high-schooler. Unfortunately, the DOE can't do much when half the population is incredulous and unable to think cohesively.

@FjeldXavier @HoehnSaricCPSC 😆 🤣 😂 😹 sure thing, cupcake. 1. He still sounds like a whiny bitch over losing a job he was quitting. 2. If you feel that way about the comment section.... then just shows the DOE has failed all of us. Thanks, babe.

@gwen_kakes @HoehnSaricCPSC Yes, he resigned as Chairman of the Commission but stayed on as Commissioner. He has more integrity in his right pinky than Trump has in his entire lifetime. There seems to be a common theme of a lack of education and basic knowledge in this comment section.

@HoehnSaricCPSC In January, you resigned prior to your term being up but demanded to stay for 2 more years until your term was up and now mad you were fired?!?! Oh, are we supposed to be mad and outraged over this?!.!. Indeed.com

@MucksVP @HoehnSaricCPSC *President Trump is the boss of the executive branch*, not independent federal regulatory agencies. Please learn basic government before making these ill-informed statements.

@pattyisright @maybenot21 @HoehnSaricCPSC Well the burden of proof is on the one making the claim and Trump hasn't divulged any of these "neglects of duty or malfaesance" because there obviously are none. It's just another blatant attempt to silence those who go against his right-wing agenda.

@krassenstein Glad to know all of the MAGA people in the comments exalt “negotiations” with 3 countries over the integrity of global financial markets😂

BREAKING: The White House caves on most tariffs—then calls it “The Art of the Deal.” You can’t make this up. These are the most dangerously incompetent people I’ve ever seen: - Disrupted global supply chains - Sent American companies into a panic - Tanked global markets - Alienated key allies - Triggered retaliatory tariffs - Then pulled back... and declared victory - This is Trump’s strategy in a nutshell: Create chaos → let it burn → partially undo the damage → claim a win. It only works if your base never learned how to think critically.

@america A robust exercise of judicial power is needed to prevent the tyranny of the executive. Karl Popper’s “paradox of intolerance” explains the need for judicial action perfectly.

WH Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt: “It's incredibly apparent that there is a concerted effort by the far left to judge shop — to pick judges who are clearly acting as partisan activists from the bench in an attempt to derail this president's agenda.”

Although I disagree with you on the interpretation of the constitution, Congress still belongs to MAGA so I doubt anything will stop Trump from implementing everything the American people voted for. And you can bet your butt that shutting down immigration, at least temporarily, is exactly that.
Xavier Fjeld@FjeldXavier

@ijerryhale @hollo_point2020 @Kenneth_TCG @ianmiles Note the word “reasonable”. Traditionally, the “reasonable”-ness of such immigration statues issued by the president have been subject to oversight. Not the case here.

JUDGE RULES THAT REFUGEE ADMISSIONS MUST CONTINUE A Biden-appointed judge, Jamal Whitehead, has blocked President Trump’s executive order that aimed to indefinitely suspend refugee admissions. The judge determined that this order likely violates the separation of powers by exceeding the executive branch’s authority. Under the ruling, the Trump administration is legally required to permit millions of refugees into the United States without stoppage.

@hollo_point2020 @Kenneth_TCG @ianmiles So the National Emergies Act doesn’t grant the president emergency authority. It grants Congress the ability to review and terminate any authority the president declares under another law under expedited parliamentary procedures.

@hollo_point2020 @Kenneth_TCG @ianmiles The National Emergencies Act allows Congress to review and act on a national emergency when declared by the president under OTHER statutes. There are a ton of these laws, and they provide the president with enhanced authorities when he declares an emergency.

@hollo_point2020 @Kenneth_TCG @ianmiles Actually, not irrelevant. Declaring a national emergency — while certainly granting the executive more privileges — does not vindicate the president from outright unilaterally exercising his power in a way that overtly violates congressional law.
