@GlennHoddle The people creating the rules are to blame for the handball and this ref has made a howler - needs clearer definition on intent and factor in things like - would have hit their body and outcome unchanged = cannot be a penalty

The second one is a yellow card for simulation & yet it’s Collins who gets it.
The ref was played - if the a United player dived; should there be a penalty? VAR intervenes?

The lessons learned from recent Olympics should cascade down.
I suspect as parkrun has taken such a strong position against the people looking to protect women’s sport brings it to the fore.

@ChrisNeeeiigghh Framing that serious issue by making it about Parkrun is the ridiculous thing here. Parkrun is a great idea to get thousands up and doing some exercise. Making it about this is nonsense and actually trivialises the gender in sport issue.

The #Parkrun debate is not just about parkrun.
I'm an ultra runner, winners of 100 mile races get tickets to the big world races. I finish ahead of the first woman normally, but top 10/20 overall.
I shouldnt be allowed to take those tickets by deciding I'm a woman.

The fact that the result of the Perth bumper at 5.35pm, changed well after the weigh-in, has not even been mentioned in the @BHAStewards report is astonishing. Feel for on-course books, and exchange punters in photo, and all the ill-will it will have caused online firms, too.

@_TightWadBill To be honest I’m different and it matters (although in old and slow) , but have to wait for my boy volunteering.
I’m with most them - it’s really not about parkrun, just fairness in sport for girls and women.
Find it hard not to get behind that.

Of all the parkruns I’ve done, I’ve never looked or cared about position. I look at my time on my running app and wait for my mom to cross the line with a coffee.

It is a fun run. There an no prizes. There is no law which forces them to organise their run times in certain categories.
If you want a transphobic community event, then make one yourself. No one is forcing you to participate.
Spend your time & money focusing on real issues.

Why we have written to @parkrun: ⬇️ 1️⃣ Parkrun should be for all to enjoy, including trans-identifying individuals. If @parkrun wants to categorise run times, it should do so by sex. Only biological females should be in the 'women's' rankings. It's very simple. #TheLawIsTheLaw
