Zeal just dropped his full counter-document + multi-tweet thread this morning posted by his family on his behalf while he remains hospitalized after his suicide attempt on April 9th. >Doctors have him offline with no personal internet access, so his mom has been visiting, reading supportive messages aloud to him, and helping structure/post everything. He wrote most of it on a borrowed laptop while still in the hospital. I spent time reading thru 10K+ word document and investigated every key section, timeline, verbatim quotes, and counters: >Zeal explains the timeline: >On April 8th when Ren dropped the 145+ page assault document >he immediately signed off and started writing his defense >because he says the claims were false. >But within 24 hours, “many of my friends, co-workers, and those I looked up to the most, left, blocked, harassed and distanced themselves from me.” >That “mass abandonment” before he could even respond caused him to spiral and attempt suicide that same night. >He was hospitalized, and he’s still there. >He thanks the people who reached out to his mom and waited for his side instead of instant cancellation: “Writing this document has been a painful, grueling and deeply humiliating experience… I need to share a lot of incredibly personal details about myself that I would rather have stayed private. However, I believe that sharing these details are necessary in order to defend my name.” >Core claim: The RDC 2025 hotel encounters were mutual and consensual the entire time. >They had known each other 5 years, flirted heavily beforehand >Ren had been venting to him constantly about her own mental health struggles and past relationships. >Detailed play-by-play from the doc (his version): - Sept 3rd: Ren was crying in the lobby -> Zeal comforted her with hugs (with prior permission). >She invited him to her room after crying again. >She initiated the kiss (“Can I kiss you?”). >They made out, interlocked fingers (he says not aggressive pinning >When she said “it hurts,” he immediately stopped, asked if she was okay, and asked if he could try again — she said yes. >No penetration that night. >He was inexperienced, embarrassed by his performance, left briefly to wash up and provide aftercare, then came back. >He even joked about writing a “Google Doc” about how bad he was at it. - Sept 4th: They bought lube together (awkwardly). >Second encounter was slower, at Ren’s pace, with more consent checks. >Again no penetration, other activities. >He slept over, they showered, talked affectionately, and she slept on his chest. >Specific denials of Ren’s most graphic claims (verbatim counters): - “I did not ‘pin her down’… The intention was not to pin her down, but to simply hold her hands.” - “I did not finger Ren ‘aggressively’, just poorly. I asked if I could try again and she said yes.” (Ren was guiding him visually by doing it herself.) >No forcing finger down throat (his long hair accidentally fell in her mouth once). >When she said “No” to something later, it was after the fact and in a “laughingly embarrassed tone” (he covered up immediately) >He provided aftercare (washed them both up) and did not leave her “dismissive” or in distress. >Strongest evidence he provides: Post-RDC messages, Twitter posts, and explicit drawings from Ren that directly contradict an immediate assault narrative: >Ren on Twitter shortly after: “And I’m rly glad u care a lot and didn’t try anything uncomfortable to me.” >Compliments: “Ur so lovely and caring and handsome and smart and talented and cute and big n strong yet soft and gentle I never felt this special or this important to someone before.” >She sent fantasies, explicit positive descriptions of the night, and drawings weeks later while they were thousands of miles apart. >Zeal argues: if it was assault, why did she repeat and describe the encounters positively for weeks afterward? >Why he cut contact: After RDC, Ren disclosed their private intimacy to multiple people (six), and team members against his explicit wishes (major breach of trust). >She also harassed other team members (uncomfortable DMs, following, etc.). >He tried to slowly distance without triggering her self-harm >No team complicity: “No other team members were present during the encounters, and those who learned about it learned it from Ren afterwards.” >Conclusion in the doc: He owns his communication failures and blurred professional/personal lines but refuses the “assault” label. >He says Ren may now genuinely feel it was non-consensual due to trauma/retroactive processing (especially with her mental health history), but the contemporaneous messages and her own words at the time show otherwise. >He’s not dismissing her feelings but providing full context so people can see both sides. >This is the most detailed “he said/she said” we’ve gotten yet — raw post-event evidence, full timeline, and specific rebuttals to every major claim in Ren’s document. Doesn’t fully explain Ren’s bruise photos. > He says he distanced because Ren “harassed” team and broke trust. >Ren says it was sudden abandonment trauma right after the events. >Doc is way more polished than Zeal’s usual chaotic style. >Parents helped write/structure it while he’s hospitalized. It's another tough he-said/she-said situation.... Legally and ethically, consent has to be freely given in the moment. Consent can be withdraw at any point.
