Representative John Rose calls for the removal of Leader John Thune. I agree. justthenews.com/government/con…

Here I am again.. Maryland. Maryland. Maryland. And for the record Maryland sits entirely south of the Mason-Dixon line, so it is geographically a Southern state. Maryland Democrats have controlled the state legislature for decades and have repeatedly gerrymandered congressional and legislative districts to lock in their advantage. So please include.

A driver in Canton, Georgia, was charged with aggravated assault after allegedly striking a bicyclist with his vehicle and knocking the rider off their bike in late April, according to Atlanta News First, citing authorities.

Blessed Liam Tuiridh, also known as William Tirry, was an Irish Augustinian priest and martyr who lived during one of the most turbulent periods in Ireland's history. Born around 1608 or 1609 in Cork to a prominent Old English Catholic family, he belonged to a lineage that had long held influence in the city. His uncle served as bishop of Cork and Cloyne, providing the young man with early exposure to the Church's leadership amid growing religious persecution under English rule. Tirry pursued his education abroad, studying in Valladolid, Spain, and Paris, France, before returning to Ireland in 1630 as an ordained priest. He joined the Order of Saint Augustine and worked for many years as secretary to his uncle, the bishop. When political upheavals intensified under Oliver Cromwell's forces in the mid-seventeenth century, Catholic clergy faced severe repression, including decrees of banishment. Despite the dangers, Tirry chose to remain in Ireland, ministering secretly to the faithful in places like Fethard, County Tipperary. On Holy Saturday in 1654, priest hunters arrested him while he was vesting for Mass. Imprisoned and tried, he refused to abandon his priestly duties or swear allegiance that would compromise his faith. On May 12, 1654, at the age of about forty-five, he was hanged in Clonmel. Witnesses described his final moments as marked by serenity: he prayed the rosary, forgave his betrayers, and went to his death wearing the black habit of his order. His body was later buried at the Augustinian abbey in Fethard. Centuries later, on September 27, 1992, Pope John Paul II beatified William Tirry along with sixteen other Irish martyrs, recognizing their fidelity during a time of systematic persecution. Blessed Liam Tuiridh stands today as a quiet symbol of courage, pastoral dedication, and unwavering loyalty to the Catholic faith in the face of overwhelming adversity. Graphic: HagiograFaith

I've warned for months that a @JetBlue-@SpiritAirlines merger would have led to fewer flights and higher fares. @JusticeATR and @USDOT were right to stand up for consumers and fight against runaway airline consolidation. This is a Biden win for flyers! apnews.com/article/jetblu…
