I love how this is the same shit Snyder did, yet these corporate elite bootlicking shills are eating it up. We are getting a full Justice League in the SECOND movie. No build up, no character progression. Why is no one calling this “rushed” like they did Snyder??

Because it only goes one way. This is exactly what I said on my livestream, except I included George Washington (1732-1799), anybody involved with the Magna Carta (1215), the Declaration of Independence (1776), or the Constitution of the United States (1787). The clapback was "since the Odyssey isn't real and they weren't real people, it doesn't matter, they can be whatever." 😐 If I had a week I couldn't list all the ways that argument is stupid beyond belief.

They didn't explain where Iron Man was when Helicarriers were falling out of the sky in Captain America Winter Soldier. They didn't explain where the Avengers were when Malekith was destroying London in Thor The Dark World. Etc, etc... Can people stop complaining about this?

@DavidM359527435 @bumpkinsTV With everything we know, I don't think Frank would go to DD or Karen. He never has (unless he wanted info from Karen in DD S2). Besides that, any time they worked to together, one of them went to get Frank.

@DavidM359527435 @bumpkinsTV The thing is, this need for a certain character to show up in other stories ignores the idea that that character may have his own story or be doing his own thing. It's unfair to say Frank, drop what you're doing, because we're over here.

@FlashByKnight @bumpkinsTV Yea it's an issue when you have connected things or a cinematic universe. But I still think it's something writers need to account for with more than a lazy line of dialogue

@ComicsMeta Disagree... I appreciate those who do, but I put much more burden on the writers and director.

Might sound pretentious but actors in superhero media should be required to read the comics about their character. Even if they’re doing something different, not reading the source material you’re adapting is pretty egregious, especially when clearly NOBODY picked up the slack

It's amazing to me how many people are naysaying the idea of Robert Kirkman picking up Marvel licenses due to "what he did to Transformers." Do people not remember what Transformers was like under IDW? Skydance's acquisition was a MASSIVE improvement.

Educated Guess: Marvel Executives are talking to Robert Kirkman. If outsourcing/licensing is on the table, it would make sense to approach the creative leader with the chops, connections, and track record. Imagine what Marvel Comics would look like if Kirkman could do for the X-Men or the Fantastic Four what he did for Transformers and G.I. Joe.

Absolute Batman issue 19 drops this week & I just read there’s 70 variant covers. Love the series, but DC is dragging it with the variants. No single issue needs more than 4 variant covers. Can't nobody afford all that 🤦🏽‍♂️

Jon Bernthal quit The Punisher once. Then Marvel asked him to write it. During the original Born Again production in 2023, Bernthal walked off set because he didn't like how Frank Castle was being written. An actor with no credited screenwriting experience looked at a Marvel paycheck and said no. Marvel retooled the entire show. Hired Dario Scardapane from the original Punisher series as showrunner. Bernthal came back. Then during filming he pitched them a standalone special. Marvel reviewed his writing samples and told him to formally pitch it. He co-wrote the screenplay with Reinaldo Marcus Green, who directed King Richard. It runs 60 minutes, the longest Marvel Special Presentation ever. It carries a TV-MA rating. He's also an executive producer. First credited writing work of his career. The line he gave in interviews: "I didn't want them to just hand it to me. They've held me accountable to every step along the way." That's three MCU projects in one year. Born Again. One Last Kill. Spider-Man: Brand New Day. He filmed the Punisher special and then walked directly onto the Spider-Man set and told Tom Holland and the director the character had to feel the same across both. The actor who had zero leverage in 2019 when Netflix canceled him now has more creative control over a Marvel character than almost any actor in the MCU's history. He got it by being willing to lose the role twice.

We found him in Born Again, hanging out of the grid with guns and ammo telling Matt he doesn't have time. He was still the Punisher. And after he escapes Fisk, Karen is tracking him being the Punisher.

How do read a crisis event as a casual fan? Like you don't know half the characters and its basically such a big deal. I think it's a terrible idea to do a Compact Edition of this story. The idea of Compact Comics were supposed to attract new readers
