@TheSeanEsposito @_BrettRyanMusic That opinion does not have a basis in Scripture. God commanded Adam to eat plants: “You shall have them for food” (Gen. 1:29). No mention is ever made of Adam or his descendants eating meat until after the Flood, and then it’s a BIG deal (Genesis 9).

@TheSeanEsposito No animal that eats feces or other animals (alive or dead) is clean. Why? Because everything you eat has DNA, which your body assimilates. When you eat unclean, you assimilate everything THAT animal ate.

Why clean? Because that’s the next best thing a vegan God-imager can eat if starving

@TheSeanEsposito The only animals in Eden with Adam and Eve (before the Fall) were clean ruminants, i.e. 2-toed herbivore ruminant ungulates: cattle, sheep/goats, deer, antelope, giraffes & okapi. No clean animal EVER eats feces or another animal (like pigs, which are opportunistic omnivores).

@TheSeanEsposito Yes, so is the definition of food, Genesis 1:29, and by extension, Genesis 1:30. And it’s a definition that comes straight from the mouth of God. It’s too bad God’s words in the OT aren’t shown in red, like Jesus’ words in the NT.

The definition is sin is eternal.

@TheSeanEsposito 4. The most basic requirement for a clean animal, but not the only requirement, is that it must not eat another animal. Why? Because then they don’t assimilate the potentially corrupt, diseased DNA of other animals. You really are what you eat.

@TheSeanEsposito 2. Modern science divides all placental animals on Earth the EXACT SAME WAY God does in the Bible, using the same exact criteria. No gray areas, no third column, no ifs, ands, buts or maybes. The only difference is the the column names: Clean = Ruminant, Unclean = Monogastric.

@TheSeanEsposito 1. There are very distinct biological reasons why some animals are clean and others are unclean. You can’t just “declare” unclean animals to be clean, because you’d have to completely redesign the animal’s diet and digestive system. You’d have to be like Samantha on Bewitched.
