Backrooms is going to have a bigger opening at the box office than Masters of the Universe. Why?? Because Gen Z does not give two craps about He-Man, while Backrooms is insanely relevant due to its viral popularity and impact with a younger generation. Studios have got to start leaving 80s nostalgia behind and commit to creating stories that Gen Z will actually connect with.
