3 days, infinite memories, one award 🏆 We build our startups for many things: for purpose, for money (yes!), for fulfillment.l Awards though, we don’t build startups for that. We expect some recognition from friends and family, for choosing the hard path and sticking to it. But we don’t expect much from the world. Having given up our designations and salaries, some do find us aspirational but most would rather, understandably, have food on the table than fire in the belly. So when @auroratechaward came along and said that they wanted to recognize and award women founders in tech, it seemed special. What was even more special was that they put their money where their mouth was – rare in this climate where many talk about championing women and it stops there. 2000+ applications, 10 finalists. @FlexiBees won the third prize. 🥉 It is hard being an entrepreneur, harder being women entrepreneurs, hardest being women entrepreneurs who are building for women. Especially doing it while creating a sustainable business model that doesn’t rely on charity but real tangible value added to businesses who hire from us. 💪🏻 The Aurora Tech Award recognized all of that. And that feels the most special. Getting to the top 10 itself is a recognition worthy of going down in the books (our books), and looking at the quality of each of the finalists – from around the world - that feeling got validated. Each one of the finalists is building something unique and awesome (separate post coming!). As for us, we will honor this win, use the award money, cherish the friendships, and never forget, that this one company, inDrive, decided to champion those who are often overlooked, women building for purpose, at scale. Thank you. And thanks to everyone who has supported us so far, through encouragement, through business, through funding, and more. We are here to stay. Would Skoda's move force other car brands to join the quick commerce bandwagon, like it has done in so many other product sectors? What next? A brand new apartment in 10 minutes? As some of you might know we launched the @FlexiBees Marketplace last week (flexibees.com/marketplace-be…). Since then it's been a roller-coaster - 60% of people who have gone to the platform have posted remote jobs, and 80% of the jobs have responses from our pre-vetted top-matched candidates! Lots of scope for improvement, but every time a job is posted we cheer 🙂 The team led by our COO and CTO has been working on the launch for the last 6 months, every part of the flow is deliberate, built on the back of our experience across thousands of such roles fulfilled. And of course the marketplace is augmented by AI 🙂 Now we would love to open up our marketplace to a wider group! So if you are a hungry founder or team leader wanting to hire experienced but affordable talent for your company, try out our marketplace (link above). We would love your feedback as we build more and better. One quick clarification: since this is our beta launch, it’s only for select roles for now - Digital Marketing, Social Media Marketing, B2C Sales, and Customer Service.
