Happy Monday morning to Malakai Kurpjuweit! Today Malks soloed his airplane for the first time, with mom, dad, AND grandpa there to cheer him on! This was his dad’s early birthday present (9 days early) to see his boy fly an airplane solo! A special day for all!

Blue skies were in Kyler’s favor today! Big congrats on this young aviator’s very first solo flight! You can see Instructor Dawson in the background stealthily sneaking up behind him for the ceremonious “bucket” We are so proud of you Kyler! Keep up the hard work!

Defying gravity runs in the family for this young man! Huge congrats to SAFA student Westin on his first solo today! Soon enough he will be flying the big jets, just like his mom! We are so proud of the effort this young man has put in. Well done Westin! @WestJet @kingsedgehill

Happy Halloween from SAFA! Students were engaged and smiling as they achieved the different tasks in our own version of the flight academy “escape room” and at the end, they were rewarded with some sweet and spooky treats! We had a time!

If words could fly, this guy is destined for the sky! SAFA student Will has soloed an airplane for the first time today-we are all so proud of his progress, and can’t wait to see his aviation horizons come into view.

This Cowboy just roped himself a live one! Big congratulations to SAFA student Reid on his first solo this morning! Follow in his Grandpa’s aviation footsteps, Reid is well on the way to becoming a pilot-and this was the first big step! Way to go Reid!

The magnificent part of flying-is when the wheels lift off the ground! SAFA student Kathryn “left the nest” today with her first solo flight! It is extra special because our former student, now instructor Logan was the one to clear her for solo! We are thrilled for you, Kat!

Our own Mrs. Dana Marshall passed the Commercial Pilot flight test this morning. What an incredible accomplishment! Examiner, Chief Flying Instructor, and owner of Super T Aviation, Terri Super gave the stamp of approval ✈️

Huge congratulations to another legacy pilot, SAFA graduate Rylan has officially become a private pilot. Following in the footsteps of BOTH of his parents! Rylan is the first student to graduate the program in two years instead of three-he joined us in his grade 11 year.
