@Zirene hey man not sure if this was addressed elsewhere but my AQ10 lockout from Friday still hasn’t reset and it feels like I’m the only it didn’t reset for xD I’m losin’ my mind if there’s anything I can do to fix it please let me know

@wowclassicdevs Idea #1: Fix trap hitboxes so they hit at melee range. This allows hunters to actually melee-weave as a skilled player, and allows melee hunters to trap bosses like Ragnaros. (3/9)

Petitioning for @wowclassicdevs to Nerf Hunter Explosive trap initial damage (so people stop crying about it, yes it hits too hard). BUT at the same time Fix Hunter Trap hit-boxes so that hunters can at least melee-weave. Or if not that, some sort of buff for single target dps. The classes AoE is insanely powerful, but the single target DPS is really mediocre. And currently the only rotation to play is to put your cursor in 1 spot, never move it, & stand as still as possible so you never miss a trap. So I'm posting some potential fixes/tuning below (1/9)

@Zirene @Brentfreiburger Us melee weavers are mostly turret in MC anyway so it makes the choice easy to just get the 6 pc ranged set.

@Zirene @Brentfreiburger For sure. I really love the 4 set btw. Seems simple but it’s highly interactive. Would be cool and make sense for the weave build to use half ranged set half melee for the double 4 set as your rotation is half ranged half melee but you’re right it’s really not a huge deal.

@Zirene @Brentfreiburger This leaves WS 2h and melee weaving without any tier set bonuses. If you could have both 4 sets stacking would solve that. I thought that would be the case and thought that it was a perfect way to give WS build a tier set without making a whole other tier set.

@Brentfreiburger know what you mean when you say the set bonus FORCES you out of Wyvern Strike. I don't believe it does? Are you talking about the 6 piece because of the miss portion of it and dual wielding plays into that since you wouldn't be hit capped? It has other parts of it as well 2/2

@wowclassicdevs Awesome now you all have to listen to our ramblings. Any chance Hunter could get a “Detonate” ability added to the T.N.T. rune that activates our currently placed Explosive Trap? For targets with large hit boxes. Would help all specs but especially melee weaving. Loving SoD p4.

Hey, @Zirene I’m sure you’ve seen that Hunters are having difficulty triggering traps on targets with large hitboxes. I have a solution. We add one more effect to the T.N.T. rune that gives us an active ability called Detonate that triggers our currently placed explosive trap.

We'll have blue posts going up about this in the morning but anyone who is planning to snag bloodstained commendations using Massacre coins should do so now. After the 1.15.3 patch on Tuesday you will not be able to purchase them until they will return to the vendor on Thursday when the phase changes and the level cap increases, at which time they will use the new high level currency and have a new cost (25 copper slaughter coins) If you've been banking massacre coins, make sure to buy as many Bloodstained Commendations as you can right now before 1.15.3 drops on Tuesday (or Weds, depending on region). Also reminder; you need 15 Honorable Kills next week to gain rank the following week (week of Jul 15th). Ranking up always requires actual kills of the other faction, regardless of how much honor you earn via blood moon. Like I said, we've got a blue post coming about this tomorrow but wanted to give those a head's up here as well so they can start spreading the word. Thanks!

@AggrendWoW All of us high end parsers were already getting our clone alts ready for split runs in p4. This change makes it so we can just run twice a week on our main and focus on one toon. Is an absolute blessing. Please keep it.

I just posted something on the official forums but just letting anyone who is concerned about the twice weekly lockout to know we hear ya. We are talking about it as a team and we'll have a bit more info (and ideally context) available soon. Try not to panic too much. Ultimately if this isn't something that we think will work in a satisfying way, we'll just not do it. We aren't dug in on it at all. Glad to hear the feedback. Try to keep it calm and civil, though and remember we all want the same thing; for P4 to be fun and engaging.

We locked the SoD class folks in a room and they did some cooking. Really looking forward to getting some of these adjustments and fixes into your hands. To manage expectations, we are going to try and get Hunter, Mage, and Warlock changes into your hands with this week's PTR build (arriving in the next day or so, barring some sort of unforeseen issue like we had last week), with some additional adjustments to other classes coming a bit later in the week likely via hotfixes to PTR. When we get the current slate of adjustments out, then we'll look to turn on world buffs on PTR. To further manage expectations, we don't expect the damage numbers to be in their final state for really any class yet. We are trying to focus on gameplay first and then we'll pull the levers on the numbers after things settle a bit. The WCL graph will probably never be perfectly flat in SoD, and we are okay with that, but we'll focus on addressing outliers next. Please try and keep this in mind and remember that we'll be at tuning the numbers for a good bit after we lock down the lion's share of the mechanical changes. I'll close out this long post by saying thank you for your feedback. While we can't/won't implement every individual idea people throw at us, the benefit of the feedback though is that it helps distill the underlying pain points you may have which in turn helps us try to focus our adjustments on the reasons for the feedback. That's the most valuable part of this and I think we are going to end up in an exciting place going into level 60 content (which is also going to be super cool!). Oh also, you might want to keep an eye on the Warcraft youtube channel this week :)

Had a few issues today getting this week's SoD PTR build ready, and we have a company holiday tomorrow so we probably won't get a new PTR build with changes up before Thursday at this point. Season of Discovery PTR coming imminently. Reminder: this PTR is focused on classes and most "new" content is disabled on PTR. You'll see a bunch of stuff in datamining, a lot of it will be real, some won't be. Items in particular are still heavily Work In Progress so expect to see things change there a lot over the next few weeks.
