@0x_tiago invited Pietro from the @Lighter_xyz team for a chat to talk more about the project, and during the live some solid alphas about the airdrop were shared. The airdrop and TGE will happen before the end of the year, with the official announcement coming on X and the official Lighter Discord. For those curious, there will be no claim process. Tokens will be airdropped directly to each user’s Lighter wallet. 50% of the supply is allocated to the community, with 25% distributed in this initial airdrop. At launch, with no fixed timeline yet, the token will be tradable exclusively on Lighter. One interesting detail Pietro mentioned is that centralized exchanges interested in listing $LIT are doing so purely out of their own interest. Exchanges like Bybit, Coinbase, and MEXC have already announced listings without receiving any payments or token allocations from the Lighter team.
