@ArtGuide_db One of the most revealing examples of man’s ability to ‘socially amplify’ ‘ART.’ People want to follow along & act as if these painting are saying something other than shades. But the real understanding comes from the guys that says, ‘wtf is that, my 3 year old can do better’

@sweeenie Altho i agree with the general sentiment, thats a bad example. That corner is Canal & Broadway. They been selling counterfeit items there for 50 years! The only difference those selling are Africans, Asians only manage and provide supply. It use to be 1000 Asian ladies selling.

@bymortalhand In person its hard to appreciate the scale. Those statues on top are about 4x human size, yet from the ground they look miniature. And if you seen it before the restoration, worth the trip to see it again. Bernini’s genius as a sculptor stands out surrounded by masterpieces.

The Baldachin is a large Baroque bronze canopy designed by Bernini between 1623 - 1634, rising above the high altar of St. Peter’s Basilica Its towering columns draw the eye upward beneath the vast dome, while the altar itself stands directly over the tomb of Saint Peter

@BoylanRoger A grand southern gentleman, who spoke with a charm & sincerity that was addictive. The way he lived, writing some then reading the rest of the day was admirable. Ken Burns series wouldn’t have been the same without him. Wish we had more interviews, they were always special.

BTC is uniquely easy to dismiss—and unusually difficult to truly understand. For many, that tension has delayed adoption at a meaningful cost. How many who giggled it off—like the host—have quietly missed the greatest investment opportunity of our time? Jiang, meanwhile, is the Jim Cramer of political discourse—skimming complex issues with confidence, yet often missing the mark in favor of overly simplistic frameworks.

Professor Jiang Xueqin claims bitcoin was created by the CIA. "Why would you spend years, possibly decades, in your basement creating a new technology and then just give it for free to the world? That makes no sense." "When you do game theory analysis, you look at all possibilities, you end up with the deep state. You end up with the CIA."

@MasterpiecesArc Vermeer is the artist i most would love to hear from about his art. I never understood a Jackson Pollock, yet dont care to. Vermeer, I am mesmerized, all so subtle. I want to learn, what and why.

@CharmOfCulture Typically, I would say Bernini for sculpture and Michelangelo as the greatest ARTIST of them all. I just feel blessed to have been able to see many of their works. Both majestic and humbling experiences.

@ModernCeasar @CultureExploreX Bernini and Michelangelo then there is everyone else. I favor Bernini because of how he used different materials with such great contrast yet pieces are seamless. Such as the above and the Baldachin.

@CultureExploreX Bernini is the only one who could have surpassed Michelangelo. His works make marble look like soft pillow or light fabric.

Michelangelo was only 23 when he carved the Pietà. More than 500 years later, it still feels impossible. Has any sculptor ever created something more beautiful than this?

@CultureExploreX In terms of sculpture, I have never witnessed anything greater. Bernini’s Baldachin and Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel on equal footing, in terms of the pinnacle of manmade art. Astonishingly, they are practically together, to experience all 3 in a day is too much to absorb.

🚨WATCH: Woodbrige Officer runs up and uses LETHAL force on male suspect with baseball bat I support law enforcement 100%, most officers put their lives on the line and do the job the right way. But situations like this hurt the badge and break public trust. Accountability matters, because one bad decision can make good cops look bad.

Bernini’s Baldachin in St. Peters is not from this world. First time I saw it, i didnt want to walk away from it. Despite other plans, i went the next day to see it once again. All within steps of the Michelangelo’s Pietra and the Sistine Chapel. 3 works that can make a grown man cry. The pinnacle of art.
