Glenn Beck’s Detailed Case That Canada Has Crossed the Line From a Free Nation to a Managed State
thedaily.ca/glenn-becks-de…
Glenn Beck said Canada is no longer a free nation. In his recent segment he outlined the core hallmarks of a free nation and explained that democracies and free nations can exist but they are rare and historically very fragile. He listed the pillars that determine whether a nation remains free. Rule of law comes first so in a free nation the law applies equally to everyone including citizens leaders and institutions with no one above the law and no one beneath it.
Second comes free fair and regular elections where citizens must choose leaders through transparent competitive and peaceful elections held on schedule with peaceful transfer of power or else voting becomes theater. Third is protection of individual rights which separates a pure democracy from a free society since certain rights cannot be voted away by any majority including freedom of speech freedom of religion freedom of assembly and due process. Fourth is separation of powers where authority divides among legislative bodies that make laws executive branches that enforce them and judicial bodies that interpret them with friction in this system often signaling intentional overreach.
Fifth is an independent judiciary where courts must rule against the government without fear and justice must stay blind not obedient. Sixth is a free press and open information where the press must question authority investigate and inform without censorship. Seventh is civilian control of the military. Eighth is protection of minority rights. Ninth is economic freedom and property rights. Tenth is a culture that values freedom.
Glenn Beck then examined whether Canada still meets these standards saying show me your friends and I will show you your future. He began with accountability noting that in 2021 parliament learned that a scientist at Canadas highest security lab had shipped live Ebola to the Wuhan Institute of Virology and collaborated with the Chinese military on bioweapons research. Parliament ordered the documents four times but the governing party blocked them every time sued stonewalled and called a snap election to kill the investigation which violated rule of law and separation of powers. Three years later the auditor general exposed nearly 400 million dollars in corruption but parliament shut it down again so accountability and oversight failed. Trudeau resigned and an elite inner circle representing just 0.33 percent of Canadians installed the new leader while parliament sat idle for eight months allowing rule by executive decree with no debate no votes and no representation.
Glenn Beck questioned whether elections remain free and fair. Intelligence confirmed China interfered in the 2019 and 2021 elections by funding 11 candidates. Trudeau received briefings but took no action. A Liberal member of parliament encouraged collecting a Chinese Communist Party bounty on a Conservative opponent with no consequences. In the next election 121 mail in ballots went uncounted one race was decided by a single vote Elections Canada printed wrong postal codes on envelopes and data entry errors created a 327 vote swing to the Liberals. Five members of parliament flipped to the Liberal party in five months handing them a slim two seat majority.
Glenn Beck described how those in power then control speech living conditions and daily life. They invoked the Emergencies Act against the 2022 Freedom Convoy and froze bank accounts of protesters and supporters nationwide targeting free speech assembly and property rights. Two federal courts including the appeal court ruled the action unreasonable unlawful and a violation of charter rights to expression assembly and protection from unreasonable search and seizure with no national emergency existing and the government continuing to appeal to the supreme court. They passed Bill C18 the online news act forcing platforms to pay Canadian outlets for links so Meta blocked all news on Facebook and Instagram for Canadians while Google paid instead. They passed Bill C11 the online streaming act placing Netflix YouTube and Spotify under government oversight with diversity equity inclusion quotas and Canadian content mandates amounting to state control over information and culture.
Glenn Beck criticized energy and property policies. The carbon tax stayed despite opposition from two thirds of Canadians. Visible consumer taxes ended but hidden regulations and industrial taxes quietly raised fuel costs. Emission rules pushed electric vehicles by 2035 through the back door. Ontario Bill 212 allows fast tracking highway projects by overriding municipal bylaws and forcing property owners out. In Waterloo the government used secret nondisclosure agreements and expropriation threats to seize 770 acres of prime farmland for a possible mega site with farmers learning only afterward. New Brunswick saw a judge reduce a convicted mans sentence to avoid deportation because his skills mattered more than law enforcement. Toronto city council voted for government run grocery stores that skip their own taxes to undercut private businesses. Rural New Brunswick faced forced municipal mergers and tax hikes of 50 to 60 percent. British Columbia shifted to a permission based system requiring government approval for selling eggs giving riding lessons or similar activities or face fines up to 50000 dollars per day. They banned 2500 assault style firearms with the buyback called voluntary but keeping legally purchased property after the deadline bringing jail threats.
Glenn Beck called the medical assistance in dying program the darkest chapter. It began in 2016 for terminal cases with reasonably foreseeable death. Safeguards dropped in 2021. In 2024 alone there were 22535 requests and 16499 deaths equaling 5.1 percent of all deaths and the fourth leading cause among adults. From 2016 to 2024 the total reached over 76000. Canada has now medically ended more lives than it has euthanized pets. Socialized healthcare wait times average 28 weeks three times longer than in 1993. Doctors have offered the program for back pain curable conditions and mental health. When the state controls healthcare and offers death as a fix for its failures that marks the end of a free nation.
Glenn Beck concluded that Canada has become a managed oligarchy with democratic trappings where government now controls speech property energy news guns and healthcare. He presented this as a warning for where progressive policies lead and urged people to look at outcomes to predict the future.

Yesterday in Bowmanville I was walking to my car and stopped by a man driving a contractor's truck. He jumped out of the truck to tell me he has been trying to make it out to one of my events but he is always working. He also told me about his family with a proud smile on his face. It was a nice conversation. You might read this and think it's not a very compelling story to share on social media. But Canadians like him, who work hard and support their families, are the heroes in our country's story. If you know this truth, it is easier to block out all of the noise that Liberal Elites overwhelm our nation with every day. If you know who you're fighting for, it's easier to fight against the powerful people trying to convince you that the status quo is good enough. It's not good enough. Canadians deserve better. Stay strong brothers and sisters. Keep going.

🇨🇦 Brookfield went from asset manager to shadow government.
$9.5B in public-linked flows.

16 Canadians are dead. 13 more were injured. A deportation order was issued…
That should be the end of the story.
Instead a federal judge intervenes, @CBCNews runs a sympathy piece, and suddenly the conversation is about HIM.
Canada has laws. They meant something at sentencing. Why don’t they mean something now?
His family are Indian citizens. India is stable. They can go be a family there. The 16 families who lost someone don’t get that option.
This is what happens when sentiment becomes more powerful than the law.

The MSM spends an inordinate amount of time attacking @PierrePoilievre and the @CPC_HQ while rarely mentioning the failings of the @liberal_party. I guess it's been money well spent by the government. #cdnmedia

"Canada’s instinct, increasingly, is to talk about diversification, reducing dependence on the United States. That is a sensible long-term goal. But it is not a short-term substitute. Geography still dictates trade flows. Logistics still favor proximity. And in food, proximity is everything."

"The warning came quietly, but it was unmistakable. According to a Reuters report, U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer made it clear: Canada’s dairy dispute will be resolved one of two ways, through negotiation or through enforcement." Read article below.

Why is the CBC hijacking this tragic event and turning it into a sob story about a hardworking immigrant getting separated from his family?
Why should foreigners get special protections in this country? Jaskirat Sidhu broke the law and was ordered to be deported. It is NOT racist to enforce the law.
The people are DONE with your sob story @CBCNews … Start putting Canadians first!

Liberal Mark Carney's red tape problem: Canadian workers are run down begging governments for permission, following onerous rules, and paying for delay after delay.
The Conservative solution: cut red-tape by 25%, have a two-for-one rule where two regulations are deleted for every new one added, and get government out of the way.
Let's empower Canada workers to build once again!
