@GameSpot Honestly, Xbox could have a huge win here and sell consoles - Just keep the disc drive and convert Physical to Disc from their XBOX library. And if they have their upcoming Xbox system with a disc drive, I am sure it will outsell PlayStation without question.
Analysts are trying to forecast low‑volume sales for Project Helix when the product doesn’t exist in the public domain. Any projection is baseless: there’s no hardware profile, no pricing, no software lineup, no marketing strategy, and no defined audience.
They don’t have BOM estimates, internal targets, or manufacturing timelines. They’re filling gaps with legacy heuristics and outdated assumptions about XBOX’s strategy. Without those fundamentals, you can’t model adoption curves, forecast elasticity, or estimate launch volume.
Predicting Helix’s sales today is like estimating a film’s box office without knowing the cast, the genre, the budget, the release date, or the script.
Developers at Ubisoft Barcelona have started a three-day strike to protest the company’s plan to lay off 51 employees who worked on Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced.
According to one of the game’s developers, the Barcelona team created all the underwater levels.
Despite Black Flag Resynced selling 2 million copies on its first day, that team is now being laid off.
The workers are asking Ubisoft to:
- Cancel the 51 layoffs.
- Guarantee better job security.
- Bring back the studio’s previous remote work policy (up to 60% remote work).
- Honor previously promised promotions and salary increases.
Ubisoft has responded to layoffs that:
"remains a proposal, and no final decision will be made until the collective consultation process has concluded".
A streamer says Microsoft permanently deleted his 25-year-old Microsoft account after it was hacked, locking him out of everything connected to it.
According to him, hackers took over the account and changed the recovery details. Even after contacting Microsoft support and providing evidence of ownership, he says he was told the account could not be recovered and was eventually deleted.
The account included:
- 25 years of Xbox history
- Thousands of dollars’ worth of digital games and purchases
- Outlook emails
- OneDrive files and family photos, including baby pictures of his son
- Other Microsoft services tied to the account
Former PlayStation Store SVP says Sony does not set PS Store pricing, individual publishers do, and therefore Sony does not have a monopoly
If you’re mad about digital prices, complain to publishers, not Sony. Sony has no say in 3rd-party store prices
