Again trying to explain the rest-pause method I use to reduce volume and time in the gym. 4 sets of lateral raises to failure in under 2 minutes here, going a little heavier for me, a skinny, old, long-limbed white boy. AMAZING QUALITY VIDEO!!!1! FREE CONSULTATIONS!!!1!

@StymieSi An absolute gem of a micropub, once received approval from the Tand hisself. I miss it. One of Thanet's finest IMO.

Pub 3334, Conqueror Alehouse, Ramsgate. This is more like from third ever Micropub I'm told, father. Quality Mad Cat, a nice Stevie, bag full of Chewbacca n other action legends. If Ramsgate is the jewel of Kent, what is Dover?

@clayandbuck I remember Carter and the donkey being red, with Ford, Reagan, and the elephant being blue. It definitely got swapped around at some point. Surely, there has to be old TV footage out there of red dems and blue republicans. Dig it up, Buck!

Eating it daily sounds to me like "a lot". One of two people I've met in person in health & fitness Twitter is Amber O'Hearn. It's hard for me to imagine someone whose experience with and well-founded knowledge of carnivory tops hers. At the risk of appearing to appeal to authority, here are search results of her writing about "liver": x.com/search?q=from%… (Put "from:ketocarnivore liver" in the search box, without quotes.)

Carnivore has been running long enough now. It is not a new thing. The case studies, the five-year practitioners, the ten-year practitioners: they exist in numbers large enough that we should be seeing the catastrophic outcomes we were warned about. The scurvy. The kidney failure. The arterial calcification. The thyroid implosion. The colon damage. We are not seeing them. What we are seeing: people who came with IBS, autoimmune conditions, metabolic syndrome, chronic fatigue, and a medication list, and who are, years later, largely without those things. The experts would like you to believe that the better you feel on this diet, the worse it's secretly going to be in the long run. That the body is somehow conspiring to fool you. That the health you're experiencing is a trap. This is a strange position. It requires you to distrust your own body's signals on behalf of an institution that did not predict those signals and cannot explain them. Your body is not tricking you. It is working. That is allowed to be the explanation.

There are people who talk about problems associated with too much liver. Vitamin A overload is, I think, the main concern. I am not very knowledgeable about this, however. I personally don't find organs necessary. I do drink some cheap lime juice every day, otherwise no supplements.

I look like this because I work out consistently for 46 years and get adequate protein- never taken testosterone nor do I have any desire to
Prom Etheus@wifiguard

@SBakerMD Congrats Shawn, you were in great shape and still are but this is not natural but evidence of testosterone use. Not judging it, but at least be honest and don't say " I look like this because of a carnivore diet". Be honest to people 🫶

This isn't common knowledge? I suspect the equinoxes are the days on which the sun is highest overhead at solar noon on the equator. I have not looked this up to confirm it, though. Slight variations in the earth's orbit are, as I've read, potentially responsible for long-term climate changes.

First day of spring in the northern hemisphere today: vernal equinox, at 10:46 EDT. The sun will be over the celestial equator. Seasons occur because of the earth's axial tilt, not because the earth varies in distance from the sun. Apparently few people know this.

@SamaHoole Do you eat organ meat? My current belief is eating a meat only diet wouldn’t work without organ meat. Serious question. Want to hear your thoughts.

Hypertrophy training, stripped of everything unnecessary: 1. Pick a movement that loads the target muscle through full range of motion 2. 4-6 reps, 2-3 sets, 1 rep left in reserve 3. Rest 2-5 minutes between sets 4. Next session: if you hit 6 reps on all sets, add weight 5. Train each muscle 2-3x per week 6. Eat 1.6-2g protein per kg bodyweight 7. Sleep 7-9 hours 8. Repeat for years That's the entire sport. Tempo, pump, soreness, variety, volume landmarks: noise. Don't lose sight of what moves the needle.

@ascentovalhalla @BrianWiley_ Yes, factory farming of pork in Europe is horrific. I wasn't aware it's not as common for beef. There is, of course, more humane farming of pork in Europe as well.

@BrianWiley_ Australia and New Zealand too. "factory farming" for cows is basically American exclusive (but not pigs and chickens and fish)

You don't need supplements on carnivore. The supplement shelf was filling gaps left by a diet that didn't contain things the body needs. Remove the gaps by eating the actual food, and the supplements become redundant. A diet of red meat, eggs, cheese, and fatty fish will cover all of your nutrient needs. Iodine is the one worth considering: the soil is depleted, and iodine competes with other halogens for uptake. That's it. Nothing else is necessary. The supplement industry thrives on complexity. Carnivore removes the complexity. Don't add it back.

looks like whey protein is the next item for the “experts” to target. not sure if they’re running low on ideas of what’s bad for you, or we’re in that point in the cycle.
