@bendreyfuss I think he's got several avenues for a solid legal defence TBH.

While I agree that many of the Punisher’s victims “deserved it,” we are a nation of laws and we cannot allow this deeply unwell man to run around the country killing people willy nilly!

I don’t know who needs to hear this but THE PUNISHER is not a role model! Frank Castle is a violent lunatic who you should not look up to! Whatever happened to real American heroes, like Sully Sullivan or whatever the fuck his name was? Put him on your lunchbox!

He had some viral video where he was mentally unwell and shouted about being a vampire from Waterloo. He was more sedate last night but I was a little worried before security came. Though the only physical thing was he booped some half passed out drug user on the top of his head.

I had a very weird evening in the ER in Toronto last night. There was very agitated guy there who said to the staff "Do you know who you are? I know who I am. I'm Steve [last name]. Was unfamiliar but thought I'd google since it was very tense before security got there.

@thatbilloakley You maybe had quark in blintzes. It's traditional in Jewish foods like that and cheese knishes and kreplach. Though for practical reasons in America people often use farmer's cheese (or pot cheese) which is slightly drier.

@DrewSav Yoda's landlord would have been pissed. He'd probably lose his damage deposit too. Dagobah seems to be a lawless wasteland so they could probably get away with it.

What happens if Luke crashed his X-Wing into Yoda's house instead of the swamp?

@andrewlevine @nick_field90 I think you're right, I apologize. I had seen that package and I was under the impression it was the 80s retro bar. Although I do believe Pink Panther was still earlier since I read after I tweeted earlier that it had an earlier release in the UK.

@andrewlevine @nick_field90 From what I read the 1975 bar was made by a company called Gold Bond Ice Cream (later acquired by Good Humor). I can't find a picture of the Mickey bar but apparently they were oval and stamped, I imagine like these later bars the company made for the WWF.

@nick_field90 Then the Pink Panther (1977) is said to be the first shaped treat. I was surprised because I would have guessed it was Mickey Mouse heads since they're simpler silhouettes but apparently those didn't debut until later.

@nick_field90 It depends how you define it. It looks like the first IP product was the Zoom (1963), shaped (loosely) like the Fireball XL5 rocket. Later character-themed themed (but not shaped) treats were next, with the Thunderbirds' Lady Penelope (1967) seems to have been first there.

@EmmaTolkin I recently learned that Paul Simon sued them over the Pufnstuf theme song because it closely resembled The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin' Groovy). I noticed the resemblance as a child but it was pre-internet so I was unable to confirm it until this month.

@Cadeyrnn Interestingly in that poll BC is his worst region for ID by far. Though I imagine it's mostly a messy proxy for party support.

I'm thinking that Poilievre is doing so badly it's kind of masking how bad things are since the floor crossings are like a safety valve preventing a DRC-style caucus revolt.

Maybe there was one but I can't recall a worse by-election night for the Official Opposition since I first got involved in Canadian politics before the '93 federal election.
