Voting on whether to have a vote is a ridiculous lack of provincial leadership.
Calgary is a globally connected city. Separation uncertainty is costing us jobs.
We have real work to do: building homes, improving public safety, fixing infrastructure, growing our economy, and making life better.

@ABDanielleSmith But you can’t support our kids, our medical needs or our poverty stricken. You are just a horrible person and a horrible leader
English

@cspotweet @acoyne I think he just be mixing up our authoritarian province.

Jeffrey Rath has endorsed a plan that calls for a leadership review of Premier Danielle Smith, who must be removed for a pro-separation leader, who will then replace the current sovereignty question.
The plan says this must happen before Canada finishes transforming into an authoratarian police state.

@JasonOnTheDrums I want my money going towards education and healthcare. How do we stop her?

The UCP is spending $26,000,000 of YOUR money on a pointless referendum where 5 of 9 questions are LEGALLY NON-BINDING.
This is a MAJOR distraction from the healthcare scandal, voter data breach, gerrymandering, and court rulings against separatists.
That’s the point.
Alberta NDP@albertaNDP
Danielle Smith is a separatist. The UCP are separatists. Period.

@Flowerwork06131 @johnwtomkinson @edmontonjournal I see why your account has never amassed more than 10 followers since 2022, when you have no idea what a VPN is.

If a separatist group wants to fight this in court, they can pay for their own appeal. It is not the responsibility of Alberta taxpayers to subsidize a political project the government claims it does not even support.

@johnwtomkinson @edmontonjournal Yes do fight it, but the most important to do right now is for her to use her legal right and obligation to simply call the referendum. She knows it is an error of law and has the right to simply sidestep it until it can be appealed.
English

@edmontonjournal If she is going to support separatists she should do it on her own dime. I should not have to see my Canadian tax dollars being used to fight Canada!

@ABDanielleSmith You LITERALLY forced politics into classrooms. And put children in real danger. LIAR
English

I am proud of the 17 new pieces of legislation our government passed this session, including:
✅ Removing politics from the classroom
✅ Protecting children from explicit sexual materials
✅ Expanding preventative medical testing
✅ Creating stronger safeguards to protect vulnerable Albertans from MAID
✅ and more!

A majority of Albertans have a negative view of the premier’s 9 referendum questions, and just 27% are supportive, according to new polling. As Sean Amato reports, ‘wasteful’ is a word both NDP and UCP supporters used to describe the vote. #ableg
