Spending a lot of time reflecting on my role on TFT broadcasts. I want to continue to improve my technical abilities, my camera presence, and so much more, but I think my guiding star will always be highlighting the nuances of great play. Great TFT isn’t just hard - it’s beautiful. The best players express so much skill when they’re cooking, but it’s not always clear on its face. Often times, other elite players will even view an amazing play as a mistake. My mission as a caster has always been and will always be attempting to bring these special moments to life for the audience. I know it’s not what everyone wants while they’re watching TFT. I know I yap too much sometimes. Explaining a great play or what makes a player special can require a lot of context. I don’t always do it as efficiently or effectively as I wish I could. I’ve thought hard about dialing it back to try to appeal to a broader audience (and get flamed less by chat lol), but in the end I just don’t want to. It’s why I got into TFT in the first place. It’s why I love playing the game and why I love casting it even more.
