HEY! LISTEN UP! I’M GOING TO SOLVE A TPOT COORDINATION PROBLEM! Summer 2025 was when tpot camps supply outstripped demand. A general sentiment this year was that there were too many things happening to sustain itself. I have an abundance mindset that we are a home for *everyone’s* wacky ideas, events, and projects. I’m very invested in seeing us flourish, and we CAN support the number of events if we solve the communication problems. We’ve also grown so large that no one knows what’s happening! We joke about only 500 ppl in the world, but we’re influencing so much more than that. I think we’re a global scene and quite possibly the future of humanity. When we don’t communicate well, we see less happening than what actually is, and grow resentful or accidentally impede on each other. I’m worried about people’s feelings being hurt, conversations not being had, and things bifurcating or dying out through lack of communication. As much as we love tweeting about things, our norms are practiced in person. I've approached some of the people who shoulder the risk of building events and communities to ask if they will participate in my coordination experiment. I think these people are some of the shelling points that currently exist in physical coordination. @gptbrooke, @frideswyth, @Prigoose & @__drewface, @RichDecibels, @exgenesis, @cauliflwr_human, @simon_ohler, @meansinfinity, @nosilverv and the nomadic @tasshinfogleman have agreed to take a stab at solving this. I’ll be hosting monthly organizer calls, sending out meeting notes, and generally am going to try being plugged into and helping facilitate the conversations that need to be happening to keep our scene healthy.
