I have misunderstood the ESC rules. Andrei does take an ESC slot - we wouldn't have been able to sign him under ESC rules until he played in Europe, but he does take a spot.

@benton_jonny @SvntnDream @Staceywestblog there are rules to make ESC; would need to meet one of the criteria of one game for top 50, 5 outside of, or Played in at least 1 Continental Youth or Senior Competition match (e.g.,UEFA Champions League, Europa League). 5 games in a band 1-5 league, Romania is band 6

@SvntnDream @Staceywestblog There are still some rules on it, such as you cannot sign a player outside of leagues in band 1-5, liga 1 is band 6, so they have to play internationally once for a team ranked in top 50 which Romania are not. So need five games.

@Staceywestblog That confuses me, my understanding was that an ESC slot was used for players who didnt meet the usual work permit criteria (like playing in low ranked league and hadn’t played in Europe) but is that not correct and it’s taken him playing in Europe to even have a chance at an ESC?

@piersmorgan Yeah that's because 80 per cent of crime in the UK goes unreported as the cops are completely useless. A friend of mine is being stalked by her ex. It took a month of her complaining incessantly to the cops for them a letter of warning to his solicitor. What a joke.

@Fly9Ricky @Bermuda060404 Well, call it what you want, but the facts remain that England has won f**k all since the ref gifted them the victory in 1966.

There's a pretty clear global Big 9 - England, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Holland, Brazil, Argentina. England have never beaten any of them in a World Cup knockout match on foreign soil. 10 attempts, 10 losses.

@nfluk_tickets I’ll sum it up. The beer is one price for NFL fans. It is a cheaper price for Spurs fans, and they have to cover up the price. That is the tip of the iceberg

What's the future for the NFL London games? I think it's interesting that the Eagles V Jaguars game was the most expensive out of the 3 but has sold out. The other 2 have sold very poorly, thousands of tickets remain unsold after the tickets have been on general sale for weeks... The NFL can't look at those seat maps and think all is well. Long gone are the days of ticket queues of hundreds of thousands, hours of wait and same day sell outs. Ticket prices, removal of season tickets, teams with smaller UK fan bases coming over, Jaguars fatigue, other games held in Europe meaning European fans don't need to travel to London to see a game, these are probably all factors. But what does the NFL do now? They have an agreement with Tottenham Stadium for 2 games until 2029-30 season. The Jaguars have an agreement to potentially play up to 3 games in London in 2027. Interesting times ahead for the NFL in London but one thing I think is certain, a London franchise just wouldn't be sustainable. @ProFootballTalk

They were a long odd 6th favourite Also that was the euros so not included in the post which is what I meant when I said the post is factual but arguably misleading

@Fly9Ricky @kmacraeplockton Nothing comes close to football in that sense. I was pointing out - with no particular standpoint to defend- that Rugby is probably more widely played and supported than you were intimating. We ca agree to disagree.

Something that shows the difference in size & significance between football & rugby. England & Argentina have played Rugby 11 times in last 10 years, The Falklands aren’t mentioned once. They play football for first time in 24 years and the Falklands are constantly mentioned.

“England have only won one World Cup, that’s embarrassing.” There have only been 8 World Cup winners in history. Portugal and the Netherlands, two giants of international football, have never won it. Spain have 1. France have 2. Winning a WC is incredibly difficult….
