Reforms Rob Kenyon choice seems to be getting more and more attention , obviously the Carol Voderman's derriere situation then yesterday his more than weird stance about women drivers and other quite dubious websites he's a member of and today it just keeps coming like a box of chocolates. He wasn't for Brexit even ? It kind of calls into question do they really vet their people , i mean a post that's been dug up by the Times today saying he didn't vote for Brexit and praised EU free movement for Europeans? Reform as per usual have come out with its just locker room banter from before he was into politics but to me leopards very rarely change their spots ever! So lets see how much more personality wise comes out about their choice of candidate because so far not really selling it to females i imagine?

So Oxford UK is to become a 15 minute city in August. Do people realise what a 15 minue City is?????? Do you realise they need a pass to leave it, even to go to work???? That they are fined if they go over the pass limit. They must have facial recognition cameras everywhere!!!!! Anyone on here from Oxford?????

Super league Raw posted this for the Toulouse Vs Wakefield game. No idea what’s going on. Lachy Miller on there, where I suspect Josh Rourke should be. Wakefield logo has 1872 on it. (Wrong year) and a random Wire player hidden behind Olly Ashall-Bott. @onlyinRL

Another 55+ minute half. Wouldn't be an issue if it wasn't now the norm. Those at the top of the sport will try and pretend it's not an issue but it's exactly what switches casual viewers off. Rugby league is at its best when it's fast and flowing. Too many stoppages.

Rupert Lowe is in very awkward waters with Restore Britain. Here's why His son is engaged to Yasmin Mezran, daughter of Karim Mezran (Libyan-American academic at the Atlantic Council pushing more legal migration from Africa/Middle East into Europe) Meanwhile, Lowe wants to ease spousal visas for Brits bringing in foreign partners from "non-red list" countries. Don't get me wrong, that is a policy I'm also in favour of and it benefits British citizens and their overseas spouse, but please tell me how can devout ethno-nat members like Steve Laws, who are pro-remigration, defend something like this given their clear stances? Then you have Tommy Robinson. Of course Lowe doesn't have a personal vendetta against him and has spoken out against foreign speakers being excluded from UTK, but despite Robinson also being civ-nat, Lowe continues to distance himself from him, he admitted that he wasn't right for Reform when he was still an MP Restore Britain is funded by the Conservatives, I mean Lowe is a former Tory. Why hasn't Restore stood a candidate in the Scottish by-election of Aberdeen South? During the meeting with ex-Tory MP Jacob Rees-Mogg, what did Lowe mean about this "agreement"? Furthermore, they accuse Reform UK of becoming the new Tory or uniparty after taking on Tories or whoever, yet took on former Tory Scott Benton, who himself had questionable involvement in gambling, corruption and responsibility for Restore Britain's database. Also revealed to be sporting tattoos that the ethno-nats don't exactly agree with This is where Restore needs to understand the harsh reality of when you become larger and more known. Scrutiny becomes more prevalent and ruthless. Reform UK experienced similar fractures, but endured and countered by broadening appeal and absorbing hits in their unfiltered Q&A events. Restore is newer and more hardline, so uncomtortable questions, which inevitably happen, will hit them harder Former Restore members realised this and came back to Reform, to back and campaign with Robert Kenyon for Makerfield. Because otherwise a vote for Restore is a vote for Andy Burnham, something their members have been trying to discourage Lowe. Makerfield is not Great Yarmouth, even their candidate Rebecca Shepherd is not exactly sure why she's in Restore apart from a vague mention of a Facebook post and because "why not?" Long post I know, but let me know what you all think

@StuartMaggs Why would any business agree to £477.18 ph overtime rate? Why would any employee agree to drop to min wage? For the employee they could easily be dropped to their contracted 40hrs at min wage If the employer needs some overtime above the norm they're paying well over the top

Even if you restricted it to a maximum of doubletime on the first hour of overtime, it would still save £500 of tax. It might still be worth doing if you have a big enough workforce. At its extreme, this would reduce the income tax paid by someone on about £50k by nearly two thirds. I wonder if this has been costed in.

I've only been thinking about this for about 10 minutes, but take someone earning, say, £50k in a 40 hour week doing an hour's overtime (extra £1,250 a year). Their hourly rate is currently £24/hr. They could agree to change their contract so that: - The first 40 hours a week would be paid at £12.71 (minimum wage) - The next additional hour a week would be paid at £477.18/hr - Above that, each hour would be paid at £24/hr. This saves them about £5,000 in income tax a year. No change to working pattern or salary.
The Telegraph@Telegraph

Nigel Farage has pledged to axe income tax on overtime as he vows to “make work pay”. If Reform UK wins the next general election, people who earn less than £75,000 and work overtime above a 40-hour week will pay no income tax on the extra hours. 🔗: telegraph.co.uk/politics/2026/…

🚨🇬🇧 BREAKING: its been revealed that Andy Burnham snapped up an ex council flat in Kennington for just £215,000 in 2005 while serving as an MP. He then happily billed taxpayers for the mortgage interest payments because the rules let him get away with it. That same flat is now worth 480000 to 500000 pounds and he rents it out while insisting the income barely covers his costs and he makes no profit. Yet this is the same man demanding rent freezes council housing takeovers and lower rents for ordinary people. Pure hypocrisy from a classic Westminster grifter feathering his own nest on the back of the system he loves to lecture everyone else about.

🚨🇬🇧 Andy Burnham’s Greater Manchester authority funnelled hundreds of millions in public loans to developer Renaker. They built luxury skyscrapers packed with penthouses. Barely any affordable homes delivered. The tycoon takes £40m+ dividends and relocates to Monaco. This is champagne socialism in action. Public cash for private luxury under Burnham. Andy Burnham has serious questions to answer. @KarenQuinn1973 #AndyBurnham #Manchester #HousingScandal #TaxpayerCash

@Juleswarrior @AmateurishRL @TheRFL Warrington line up for that game: Taylor-Wray, Lindop, Wrench, Tai, Thewlis, Ratchford, Drinkwater, Bullock, Powell, Wood, Holroyd, Tupaea, Whitehead. Saints fans are crying about “integrity” but they only need to blame their own team for tonight. If Saints weren’t so pathetic, abysmal, awful in the cup semi and had beaten Wigan instead of being embarrassingly nilled then Peet would have named a full strength team tonight.
