Attention Travelers: There is a video circulating showing a long line at our Concourse B TSA checkpoint. Please be advised that this video was taken when our checkpoint was opening at 4 A.M. Early morning flyers typically encounter a line, but it moves swiftly once the checkpoint has opened. Both checkpoints remain fully open and operational with typical ORF wait times (10-15 minutes). We are thankful to our TSA Officers for their continued commitment to service during the partial government shutdown. As always, we advise travelers to plan to arrive at least 90 minutes before their flight.

Our TSA checkpoints remain operational and wait times are still the typical wait you'd usually expect at ORF (10-15 minutes). However, we always recommend giving yourself some extra time, especially for a morning flight — that is one of our busiest times and when the checkpoint sees the bulk of our daily travelers.
