The 12th National Moth Week starts today! As a country co-ordinator for the UK, feel free to contact me for any details or identifications and I will do my best to help. The UK weather isn't looking great for moths this coming week sadly! Good luck all! nationalmothweek.org

@FlyinginFordham Brilliant shot! This is why I always carry my camera. Even on cloudy mornings, these beautiful creatures remind me why biodiversity matters.

A better photo of the Male Emperor Moth from yesterday afternoon. They don't get much better than this. Certainly brightens up a cloudy cold overcast morning. Fordham, East Cambs

Joint earliest date for the Emperor Moth in my garden today (21st of March). A single male came to the lure at approximately 4.15pm after it had been out for nearly 5hrs. Temperature in the shade was only 10c. Better photo tomorrow as it was so lively! Fordham, East Cambs

A quieter home trap last night, but a trio of Pine Beauty was the most noteworthy of the lot. I usually only record 1 or 2 per year, this trio makes it 4 for 2026 now. Cracking little moths. Fordham, East Cambs.

@MOTHIDUK @FlyinginFordham Could I just check this one please? Probably just a March moth, but it's markings were a bit different to the ones I usually get. Any help much appreciated. Thanks.

A massive shark-like creature surfaced just meters away in the open ocean. Its size, shape, and movement don't match any known species. People on board were left completely stunned
