Red-flanked Bluetail, Crookham Hill, Kent 21/03/26 - I was the only one daft enough to be looking for this, in the fog, first thing this morning; it showed well on occasion although could be very unobtrusive:

@LewisStuff Are you sure that there was 4 as 3 of the sightings are not to far from each other so I’d say 1 individual ranging between areas

Question. Would you buy a car that’s 4 years old, has only done just under 8,000 miles but has no service history (presumably not had one due to lack of miles)?

A dash this morning to Lowestoft for what would have been Britains first ever Pallas's Gull. Alas it wasn't one but nice to catch up with the overwintering Hume's Warbler.

@Vaasetter There is a suspicion that the two new birds could be on passage, but where did they winter? It’s always possible they’ve been overlooked all winter but seems less likely - who knows?!

@LewisStuff That's very cool 👏 Amazing that the Forest can hold four birds while the rest of the country lags behind with only two in the last month.

Morocco just keeps on giving! Far too many highlights to mention from today - Pharaoh Eagle Owl, Temminck’s and Thick-billed Larks + Red-rumped Wheatear. Another post to follow.

After traveling along the mediterranean coast of Spain from Malaga, we have now crossed into France. Some nice birding on the way with highlights being; improved views of Black Wheatear, Trumpeter Finch, Great Skua & plenty of Slender-billed & Audouin's Gulls.
