We are sad to say that Guy Thomas, former chair of two FOGcons and long-term attendee, died 16th March, 2025 in Kaiser's San Leandro hospital. An important member of our FOGcon and FOGcon committee communities, a visible presence at our gatherings. He will be missed.

Another great FOGcon Writers' Workshop by Zoom! After a short chat, we separated into 2 groups of 3-4 writers critiquing stories sent ahead of time. The group leads, Catherine Schaff-Stump & Cliff Winnig, have led workshops at FOGcon. If you are interested in the next one, Email!

Look at this moth from the genus Phalera It looks like a fragment of twig complete with chipped bark and even the layering of wood tissue at the “cut” ends perfectly resembling a broken piece of wood to avoid predation.
