The older I get, the more I see that some of the dysfunctions in home are propagated in church I think we put burdens especially on women that even the Bible did not put on us Who clears the table is not a hard or fast rule and in my opinion does not depict honour. It’s simply a matter of keeping your house clean. The first line here is where I think the problem lies. “You’re not there to clear his table” Let’s not even talk about whether or not a wife should clear the table every single time. So your wife is not there and you can’t stand up and carry your plate to the kitchen as a fully functional man? And the fact that the other female in the house does not carry your plate means that you’re being dishonoured? The problem here is that in your own house, you’re not carrying your used plates to the kitchen. That’s the only problem I see here. You’re inadvertently teaching young men that if they don’t have their table cleared by a female, they are being dishonoured Tomorrow we wonder where these crop of entitled men who use scripture to oppress women come from. This whole Lord and Master narrative we keep propagating is not it at all Even Jesus washed feet.
