There's always a cost for selling your eggs or sperm. For renting a womb and taking the baby from birth mom. For divorcing, for cohabitating with your boyfriend, and for pretending a child doesn't need their mother and father. There's always a price to pay, it's just the kids that always have to pay it. cc @Katy_Faust

Direct payments from intended parents to birth/genetic parents to relinquish parental rights in adoption are categorized as trafficking. Direct payments from intended parents to birth/genetic parents to relinquish parental rights are the backbone of surrogacy. They ARE buying babies. I’d genuinely love to hear your thoughts on why it’s so special and important for a man to raise his “own” child but “nonsense” to object when a child loses his or her “own” mother so that man can have what he wants.

Wow. Barbara Palvin and Dylan Sprouse announce their first child together by highlighting the humanity of their unborn baby with an ultrasound A child’s location does not determine their humanity. ❤️

@perragrande31 In a just society, rape victims shouldn’t have to kill their rapist. The government should.

I’m done being gaslit into pretending women never know what they’re doing. Many do. Some celebrate it. Some mock it. Some are fully aware a human life is being ended and choose it anyway. Accountability is unavoidable. Women who have abortions should face jail time, minimum.

Cosmopolitan Magazine published this INSANELY dangerous piece this week suggesting if the “abortion pill” of mifepristone is banned, you should just take the second pill misoprostol all by itself and it will still “end your pregnancy.” Misoprostol will dilate your cervix and cause you to go into labor, ending a pregnancy, but will help your body deliver a LIVING BABY. What happens after you give birth in your bathroom for this type of “abortion?” I can’t even think about it.

If biology doesn't matter...if the woman who birthed you is just an incubator...if all you need is love and love makes a family... How does someone miss and long for someone they've never met and couldn't possibly remember? We were designed for connection to the one man and one woman we came from.

It’s changed because of these main reasons: •Adoptees began speaking publicly about the pain of sealed records, lack of medical history, and identity struggles caused by never knowing their biological family. •Many birth mothers later described closed adoption as deeply traumatic, especially after being pressured into secrecy and permanently cut off from their child. •Psychologists and social workers increasingly argued that honesty and openness were healthier for children than secrecy and hidden family histories. •Society became far less stigmatizing toward single motherhood and children born outside marriage, reducing the pressure to hide adoptions. •Modern technology like phones, email, and social media made ongoing contact between adoptive and biological families much easier to maintain. •Adoption agencies increasingly promoted open adoption because birth mothers were more willing to choose adoption if some level of contact remained possible. •DNA testing through companies like AncestryDNA and 23andMe made permanent secrecy far harder, weakening the practicality of fully closed adoption.

@ThemBeforeUs @Prolife_Sam I think they changed b/c the biological parent wouldn’t give the child up unless they could come back with into the child’s life at their leisure.
