Reviewing my portfolio, I still end up struggling with not loading up more & more $LGO tbh.
I love where it is in the cycle, still climbing a massive wall of worry despite macro tailwinds with the renewables buildout in China & US admin support for critical raw materials.

I did a very silly thing today. I bought ENQ2 bonds without doing sufficient research. I’ve held these before and I know the parent company well. Unfortunately they have issued an RNS that they will redeem the bonds at month end. Silly me — don’t get complacent.

1 week ago, Abbie and I delivered a letter to @Keir_Starmer and @ShabanaMahmood A letter asking for a meeting with representatives of British Mothers @pinkladies_uk and victims of sexual assault at the hands of illegal migrant men. THIS GOVERNMENT has allowed over 70,000 undocumented migrant men into our country in under 2 years. We want to discuss what they are planning to do about the RAPE EPIDEMIC that’s sweeping the UK. So far.. nothing.. not even an acknowledgement. More proof that the safety of Women and Girls doesn’t matter in the slightest to this government @UKLabour DISGRACE !!

Been out of gilts for some time-but I've just taken some #T56-the 2056 gilt-at 99.1p for a yield of about 5.5%. Yes a yield of five and a half percent, tax free in an ISA, on a UK gilt😬
This should, of course, be the safest of the safe but clearly the market has the wind up🤔

@Followmetrotter @krk_capt @datruthbomb Looking at 30 year, Yield has popped and could be a bit more upside, but it's a good point to accumulate. It seems to hold well on support and resistance on the three year channel.

Something impossible has just happened. Three 6-sigma events occurred in one week. – Bonds – Silver – Gold Let me explain: 1) The Japanese 30-year debt just recorded a 6-sigma event. It had an extreme volatility spike where the 30-year JGB yield surged dramatically in a single trading session- around 30 basis points on January 20, 2026. This pushed it to record highs near 3.9%. 2) Silver had an even more extreme event: it had a 5-sigma on the rally, and 6-sigma on the drop in a single session. It just had another sigma drop overnight. 3) Gold was up 23% in less than a month. We’re getting very close to a 6-sigma event. It also just had another sigma drop overnight. That’s three 6-sigma events in one week. These are symptoms of deeper financial plumbing issues: leverage, margin calls, and forced buying and selling. One of the major anchors for global finance is the Japanese bond market, which is directly related to the highly-leveraged carry trade and cross-border flows. These are the early warning signs of a regime change. Just as we enter the heart of the Fourth Turning. This weekend's SubStack will cover how to think about these events and what they could mean in the coming months. Buckle up. A regime change is not just coming - it's already started.

Their SP fell circa 50% in last 2 months mostly from an erroneous belief that their Gabon security tax might be axed. The government moved to enshrine into law and it is still being collect by every airline. You can easy check this on their ticket buying
