English

@horacioplump Yeah, most likely. I don’t know a match. Could ask fontid.co to be sure.
English

@boerdebehoerde This appears to be Times New Roman distorted by poor printing or repeated copying.
English

@KaylasKeepsakes It looks like Industria, but they messed with the ‘1’s or used something similar. myfonts.com/fonts/linotype…
English

@Font_ID Hello. I'd really appreciate it if you could help me find the attached font please? It's from the logo for the UK band called "911". Thanks in advance!

English

@ElsaFox100 This is Termina, a commercial font that you can buy here: fontspring.com/fonts/fort-fou…
English

@tomwittlin Feels custom to me. Started with Futura perhaps and got inspired by Motor Oil’s whatfontis.com/FF_Motor-Oil-1… curvy R.
English

@horacioplump Sorry, that’s tough at that size, angle, and style. So many things it could be. If you have more examples please sure.
English

@MatthijsSluiter @brainwagon Keep in mind that finding an exact digital match is impossible due to metal or engraved type having slightly different forms.
English

@MatthijsSluiter @brainwagon I think this is mostly type, not hand lettering, and Mathijs is right on with his suggestions. Just missing Futura for bold stuff and News Gothic or Trade Gothic at bottom.
English

@ASapphicKitsune Video game fonts are often proprietary creations of the game studios, not fonts available for other use. But if this is out there someone on fontid.co will find it.
English

@Font_ID Hi I was wondering if you could identify this font from Shadow of the Colossus. The game came out in 2005 if that helps. I hope this is enough example text but I can send more if required

English

@JensLudvik This is wild one! It’s based on one of Jean Midolle’s very ornate alphabet lithographs: oa.letterformarchive.org/item?workid=lf… Many of these were repurposed as phototype or reproduced in books, i.e., Dover’s ”Decorative Alphabets and Initials” where Midolle isn’t credited. Will check for fonts.

English

@Font_ID A friend turned to me to identify this font in the title "alhaji sikiru ayinde barrister", but frankly I've no idea how to go about this kind of highly decorative font— I'm not even sure what kind of printing is used for these kinds of covers; so I turn to you!

English

@horacioplump Also, the italic A is missing the cupping, further evidence that they modified the romans but neglected the A E O which match Hoefler Text Italic.
English

@horacioplump It’s possible that the designer modified HT because it matches otherwise.
English

@horacioplump Strike that! These serifs are too cupped for Hoefler Text. What is the source? How old is it?
English

@horacioplump Hoefler Text identifont.com/find?font=hoef… with italic A and E.
Love your account, btw.
