Many school districts have no idea how to budget their actual funds.

This woman is severely deluded. What Rossana is suggesting is mentally ill people don't commit violent crimes and CPD respond to emergency calls with their guns drawn. Sadly, mentally ill people do commit violent crimes and are even more dangerous when they possess a weapon. This is all lost on Rossana, who believes CPD is the problem and mentally ill people should enjoy immunity from the criminal justice system.

Officer Bartholomew was shot in the head by a robbery suspect who he and his partner were escorting to the hospital for a medical evaluation. His funeral annoyed this woman.

NEW: In an email to all Chicago Public Schools teachers, CPS CEO Dr. Macquline King wrote: "Any supplemental materials on civic engagement must be approved by school leadership. Please submit these materials to your school principal for review and approval as soon as possible. No supplemental material may be implemented until the principal reviews and approves. Keep in mind that content presented to students must be neutral in nature, providing diverse perspectives, and cannot advance any particular viewpoint." That means the official May Day training provided by CPS teachers, including David Stieber and Kirstin Roberts whose X profile reads "Socialism or Bust", must be approved by principals before it can be implemented. As a reminder, full coverage of the training and proposed curriculum, which includes teaching children as young as 3 years old about political issues, was reported by @NAVIvalues and can be found here: x.com/NAVIvalues/sta… Resources shared by CTU with all teachers: docs.google.com/document/u/1/d…

CPS has agreed to declare May Day a Day of Civic Action, with buses to the Union Park rally, no retaliation for participants, joint lobbying in Springfield, and future May Days protected as teacher-directed PD days. When we stay steady, we win. Swipe for the full schedule and how to plug in. Learn more at ChicagoMayDay.org
