@FoolishBB @fbcreports I’ve been working a (rough) trade model and for tests I’ve just been calculating from Aug 3rd. Most trades are done within a week of the deadline and are overpays anyway, the difference in surplus value usually doesn’t change THAT much

@FoolishBB Does FanGraphs or Spotrac show how much a player is set to make the rest of season? Or did you calculate yourself?

Then again, I might be underestimating the prospect cost here to get it done. Look at what the Dodgers gave up for Flaherty in '24 or the Red Sox gave up for May in '25. Maybe people like myself will be surprised at how enticing Peralta still is even as 4.66 ERA/4.38 FIP rental.
