@Molson_Hart I’m not sure I follow. Why is the government incentivized or why would they even care to stop the fee increases?

When Amazon raises fees, sellers have no choice but to raise prices. If the customer accepts the price increase, they survive to the next round of price increases by Amazon. If the customer does not, there is one less Amazon seller. The cycle continues because sellers cannot sell for less on other platforms without losing their Amazon sales, so price increases on Amazon become price increases ecommerce wide. Eventually government will end this practice, which otherwise has no end in sight.

This is going to be a problem for Amazon…

@w00tw00tw00t1 @Molson_Hart Never had it either. I can but I’m curious what the amounts will be. I was set to receive $30,000+ after the reserve on Monday. As of today I can request another $3,000

Not real estate related but: Does anyone have suggestions on how to get an almost 3 year old to go to sleep? Tonight was especially wild with 2 hours of yelling / moaning / crying/ begging for: - more milk - water - the potty - the door open wider - the window open - more blankets - less blankets - more mommy - less daddy 😢 - a book read to her - another book - one more book - no not that book that one over there! (TO NAME A FEW) This was all after her standard after dinner routine of: bath, milk, book, teeth, one more book, bed.

@TonyGainzzz Payment speed saves you on total interest not rate. The MCA loan typically is in the 40% range and is awful. A term loan is difficult because you have to make payments when cash is short. A couple points in interest is more than worth it over the terms. My current line is 8.75%

@FoolishbyNature Thought so but I heard also people who took it during Q4 and helped them a lot. I still haven’t gotten an answer on the interest people pay on it and If you pay faster, you save on interest. I need some numbers to go by :)

LAUSD's budget crisis deepens: Attendance plummets 40% while spending soars on lavish projects and bureaucracy. LAUSD's overall budget remains bloated with 90 percent allocated to personnel, and faces a projected $191M deficit by 2027-2028. @CaliforniaGlobe link 👇

@blueprintsmb22 @DeepIceValue I’ve been selling on amazons platform for 13 years. I think people deeply misunderstand the margins on the retail side. They are hiding so much spend there. On 3rd party sales they take an average of 50-70% with no inventory cost. The second they want it to cashflow it will

What’s the catalyst path? I want to believe, but pple got their AWS acceleration last quarter and nobody cared given capex arms race. Google pple were literally short given DOJ overhang which meant long onlies couldn’t own it while ChatGPT was supposed to kill search. Catalyst path was rich for GOOGL at 150 as they debunked the bullet points of the short case in the following 9 months My pushback is the AMZN bull case is well understood and it’s well owned actually

@jonfitzsimon Depends on type, age, and mileage. You can find 5 year old ford sedans with under 100k miles for that price. Honda / Toyota and you’re going to have to increase the years / miles

@michaelpatron0 I think it’s regular storage plus the Q4 surcharge. On our account the two figures matched what we would have expected but could have been a coincidence

@JeffSendsIt I generally refund and report them to Amazon. Had one recently claim it with the same form letter on multiple orders. Once I reported it messages stopped

Anyone getting messages like this from Amazon customers? Is there a course somewhere on how to get "free refunds". From an Account Health stand point should probably just refund the buyer the $17 and move on, but reporting to Amazon seems the right play, not that they will do anything. Buyer claims they received a used, dirty, foul-smelling, and potentially hazardous product instead of a new one. They state they were delayed opening the package due to a car accident. Upon opening, they claim the item posed a health risk to family members, including children. Buyer says they immediately discarded the product for health and safety reasons and therefore cannot provide photos or return the item. They cite Amazon policy about disposing of hazardous or unhygienic items to justify this. Buyer demands a full, immediate, unconditional refund with: -No return -No photos -No further discussion -Buyer refuses alternatives (exchange, partial refund, credit). Buyer threatens action within 48 hours, including: -Filing a complaint with Amazon -Leaving negative reviews -Posting on social media / consumer forums -Filing consumer protection complaints -Considering legal action Buyer states this is their final notice and expects written confirmation of the refund within 48 hours.

@ContrarianSaver @SteveOnSpeed Got it. Personally, I don’t think it would have that effect since total gdp produced doesn’t change. Reducing government waste shouldn’t drop consumer cash just reallocate it

Cut out the fraud and pet projects and the U.S. could cut taxes in half and eliminate property taxes (which they should do anyway) and still have plenty of money for essential services.

@ContrarianSaver @SteveOnSpeed Respectfully, why would reducing fraud hurt the economy? Private sector still produces the same income and government that isn’t fraud still receives the same level of funding.

If you are managing working capital correctly in your residential service business... you should have negative working capital. All service work cash on delivery (COD). 1/3 down on installation projects, remainder COD. Big receivable balance? You're doing it wrong.

Useful project for a retired business person: Organize a program through which other retired business people teach classes in schools about markets, entrepreneurship, management and personal finance. In a dynamic system like ours, we can't continue to allow the people who most value certainty (in the form of union contracts) to retain a monopoly on the education of our young people.
