Now that the saga is finally over… few words about JK’s tenure as a Warrior. I will say that I do feel for JK to an extent. He was drafted into a team with a championship core hungry to win a title, and didn’t have plenty of opportunities in his first three seasons. Lamb getting mins over him, DNPs/“short leash” subs, and when he was playing the best basketball of his career, he gets sidelined for months and isn’t able to recover. That being said, while some criticism has been unfair due to bad luck/timing, there’s also been valid criticism, regarding his performance and fit with the team. He didn’t pan out as desired and didn’t become that reliable 2nd/3rd option we hoped. Sure, Steve didn’t play him a lot over the past year, but he wasn’t necessarily moving the needle in his minutes either. Trading him is the best choice for all parties and I hope he kills it there. I just wish this didn’t drag out this long, but better late than never I guess.
