We’re energized by this call to action to make the super wealthy pay their fair share! @katiebrennan_32 is stepping up the conversation that begins to match the scale of what working families in New Jersey are up against.
Katie Brennan@katiebrennan_32

I’m introducing two new bills to tax the ultra-rich and multinational corporations. This is how we pay for the healthcare, education, public transit, and other safety net programs working families deserve. TAX THE RICH!

Bruce Springsteen (though we love him) Tom Kean Jr., NJ billionaires and the ultra-wealthy are not paying their fair share of taxes on Tax Day. This is thanks to a vote from Tom Kean Jr. on the big ugly bill of last year. Read our press statement here: njcitizenaction.org/new_jersey_bil…

On Tax Day, working families pay what they owe. It’s past time the wealthiest and biggest corporations do the same. Submit a comment to the budget committees to demand NJ tax income over $2M and close corporate offshore profit loopholes. Take action: actionnetwork.org/letters/tell-n…

The system is rigged to benefit billionaires and corporations and that must change. We joined @ForTheManyNJ for a rally outside our state Senate Budget Committee hearings to demand a state budget that raises revenue from the biggest corporations and the ultra-wealthy, not from working families. Our current proposed state budget includes some positive steps but still leaves a projected $1.5 billion structural gap and fall short of investments needed to make New Jersey more affordable and equitable. Everyone should pay their fair share to fund critical services and programs for working families.

Together, those steps could raise the revenue needed to protect essential services and make New Jersey more resilient in the face of harmful federal policies. We need to use every tool available that will strengthen our state and make life more affordable for everyone.

A true “yes and” approach means building on the Governor’s initial budget proposals by also closing the offshore corporate profit loopholes and asking the wealthiest households to contribute a little more.

The math is clear: the scale of the NJ's budget problems demand a broader approach. At a time when Trump-era tax cuts delivered massive windfalls to the wealthiest households and large corporations, NJ cannot take progressive revenue options off the table. insidernj.com/press-release/…

Ahead of @GovSherrillNJ's first budget address, one thing is clear: NJ faces some serious fiscal challenges. Just saying... taxing super millionaires and closing corporate loopholes are fiscally responsible AND fair ways to help get NJ back on track. njpp.org/publications/r…

We applaud Governor Sherrill’s launch of an online portal that allows the public to see exactly where state funding goes, and for her continued commitment to a budget process that is fair, transparent, and allows everyone to give timely input. NJ’s budget is hiding 4 major time bombs and working families could pay the price. This is what happens when our tax system is upside down. We need fair, sustainable revenue that puts people first. Yes, that means taxing the rich. nj.com/news/2026/02/n…

Many would argue that the super-wealthy and big corporations who have fueled the affordability crisis should pay more in taxes, so New Jersey can afford to invest in healthcare, childcare, transit, education, and other programs that benefit everyone. newjerseymonitor.com/briefs/nj-sena…

In these dark winter days, we haven’t forgotten the Not So Beautiful Bill. Health care and food assistance were cut, while billions were poured into ICE. Communities are already feeling the consequences, with more harm unfolding in real time. nj.com/opinion/2026/0…

New Jersey’s cash reserves look strong, but the budget is sitting on five ticking time bombs that threaten our ability to meet people’s needs. A fair budget means raising taxes on the wealthy and reining in tax breaks for the richest. njpp.org/publications/r…

Every dollar we give away to corporations is a dollar we cannot use to support childcare, lower health care costs, or invest in schools, transit, and housing. Tell legislators to vote NO to unchecked corporate power and billionaire greed.
New Jersey Citizen Action@NJCitizenAction

NJ Legislators are rushing corporate giveaways while families are struggling with rising costs, and fast-tracking corporate tax breaks behind closed doors. Tell your legislators to put people first & vote NO on A6298/S5025 & A6306/S5031: actionbutton.nationbuilder.com/share/SPK-QEZC…
